I've seen designs drawn with the bleach pens too that are very nice. Are you going to put a stencil and then spray? I'm not sure what mixture of bleach and water you would use for spraying, and yes I am sure that you wash it right after to stop the bleach. I think you would just treat it normally. Kathy

I'm doing it by hand. I think I found something. Some tracing paper that I used to transfer my image in a light color (yellow) on the black t-shirt. The trouble with it is that it's rubbing off where my hands touch the shirt. I've started with the dinosaur and the poor thing has already lost two legs before I got to embroider them. Maybe I should re-trace them. I just know it won't look right!

L.L. Bean is a good suggestion. They did carry a t-shirt called "Saturday T.-shirt" which was a shorter t-shirt. Not so short that you're stomach is exposed, but a good length with shorts, jeans, etc. Despite being long wasted, they weren't too short on me. I'm 5'8". They wash well and last forever. I have them in all sorts of colors, so I didn't need to order them last summer. Hopefully, they are still carrying that style. Target stopped carrying the Cherokee t-shirts and replaced them with the Mossimo brand. Don't care for the Mossimo since it has too much elasticity in the fabric makeup. Feels like it has a bit of lycra or something which makes it feel like it is too fitted for me. I like roomier t-shirts, not bigger men's type shirts, just not clingy. The Cherokee was more of a brushed cotton, which washed & dried without a wrinkle. So disappointed that Target stopped carrying the Cherokee tee;( I do like a bit longer t-shirt for the gym, not covering my butt, however, not riding up, exposing my back while exercising. I usually buy separate workout wear for that very reason.

My DH was once drawn to slogan t-shirts (thankfully, not so much anymore). A few years ago he received a shirt in the mail emblazoned with "She Looked Good Last Night." Apparently this is a quote (or was on a shirt worn by a character) in a remake of the movie, "The Bad News Bears." He thought it was funny. I thought it was incredibly lame, and I told him there was no way I'd be seen anywhere in public with him wearing that shirt. I don't believe the shirt has ever been on his body; in fact, I think it's long since just disappeared. This is just to say that my DH is ordinarily a very sensitive, thoughtful man and I know he wouldn't purposely offend someone. For whatever reason, that particular shirt struck him as being so funny that he had to own it (however briefly), which just tells me that even the good guys can have less than stellar moments from time to time. ;-)
