Jeanne, so I need to select that 640 x 480 Large at the time I'm uploading the pics? Can I change it after I've uploaded it (I've already done about 200 pics wrong :-( ? Would if affect the photos that I've already posted at GJ if the image size changed (if that's even possible)? I need to upload some pics and get the right size selected at that same time, but don't have time to fool with it right now. Been on here too long. Will try later today. Thanks for posting this. I was feeling quite badly for you, even spoke to my DH and sorry, but used your situation to try and make him feel better about ours! (mea culpa). He said it didn't help! LOL We have been renoing for over 7 years, can't believe it's been this long, and I'm starting to feel the strain now...am so over it! One of the good things that has come out of it though, is my ability to deal with confrontation. Like you, and I'm sure like most people it is not anything to look forward to...:>( My DH is an electrical engineer and is so capable I am lucky he can do nearly all the work required. But it is up to me to deal with any tradespeople and to get all the quotes, left to him he would just pay the bill. The only trade/quote I let him negotiate in the last 7 years was for upgrading our electrical service from 100AMPS to 200AMPS, (as that was his particular area of expertise). One day of work cost us over $3000! First and last time he arranged for anything! LOL

serenity, the reason they try to dig up old posts of mine is to justify their own wrongdoings in regards to chidlren/stepchildren(kind of like "your SO is this or that so it is OK for me to do XYZ", but one has nothing to do with the other). I expressed my opinion in one of the threads that when divorced parents (and stepparents are often behind that or at least involved in that) enter power struggle with each other dragging each other to courts etc, they subject their minor children/stepchildren to uneccessary drama and suffering. iamommy and others didn't like it (I guess it hit the nerve) so they had to find excuses for their and their spouses behavior by pointing out that I had these or those irrelevant problems some time ago. lol It is childish. People feel defensive and cannot think of anything more than come up with irrelevant stuff. It is like once imamommy gave me a lecture why my exhusband does this or that. LOL i have been divorced for 17 years and what my exhusband does or doesn't do is not in my control, like I care or like I can divorce him one more time LOL I think the reason some stepparents feel so defensive is because they know I am right. One of the major reason of their stepchildren being that dificult or being so emotionally disturbed is because of a power struggle between parents/soemtimes stepparents (both parents, not just BMs). They know I am right, but they don't want to admit it so they dig up some stuff out. My life is not conflict free or perfect of course not. But i raised a well adjusted succesful adult (raised by divorced parents) and I can offer some pointers how to raise children with less drama. Did I ever feel like throwing something at my X's head yes, but did I? No. Not worth traumatize my child. People want drama and power struggle, then they deal with consequences. When I offer my opinion instead of paying attention to someone who did pretty succesful parenting/coparenting, people get defensive . By the way imamommy said i was a single parent. No I never was. That's incorrect. majority of our divorced time we lived close by and we had 60/40 split. Then later on when we moved further away from each other, our arrangement was 70/30. It did involve travelling and effort but we co-parented so it worked. Now when DD is in college there is no custody of course but her time off is split about 60/40 (60 wiht dad, 40 with me, she lives closer to dad now). So i can offer pointers on dealing wiht exes wihtout drama. But people are welcome not to listen and be defensive. Do i care? no. I do care though about those children... As about relationship with SO's grown children, it is nice and of course it improved (I do not even have much to post about it because there are no current issues). As about my relationship with him, I do not know where it goes, I like to take things slow, having a man is not my life priority. It's never been and as i am getting older it is even less so.

This is such a fun project. oakley, i love old screen doors ever since my former decorator used them as twin headboards in a boys room (alas she never came up with anything that interesting for us). And in one version y'all were spared, I had used an old wood screen door on this house. But i cant see pairing them w my french doors, which I am totally sold on. Suero! Uncannily similar! Maybe next spring I will hold a GW christening for it. Bumblebeeze, Yup, it is a good 25 yards from the pool building, which has a private full bath. I forget that not everyone saw the first post on this stonehouse, but it is probably impossible to increase the footprint and or add a bathroom, due to wetlands restrictions, zoning, preservation, and septic issues. Honestly, I don't really have a well defined use for this building, but it is too cute to leave for landscaping storage (we have a small barn and separate garage for that.) While it will have a double mattress in the loft and a sleeper sofa below, I doubt it will be used much for sleeping quarters. Kids slumber parties, a few romantic couples willing to carry a flashlight to the loo, etc. But not our mainstream guests, who will mostly opt for the guest room. I could see it as my home office for days when I need to be without interruptions (I consult one day a week) My guess is it will be part playhouse, part outdoor living room, part bar and hors d'oeuvres station. Especially with the french doors open and furniture out on the little patio area, it will make a very nice shady little area for adults to sit when kids are swimming, fishing and kayaking.
