Yep, Queen Annes' Lace for sure. Here in Michigan every spare inch of ground is covered with Queen Anne's Lace or Goldenrod that isn't quite bloomed out yet. Ron, Lucy is just beautiful. I think she's a sweetheart,

I was going to try to get pictures of some stinging caterpillars on a tree in our yard, but since it was raining most of the day I didn't get out. So instead I'll post pictures of real-life versions of Gazania jewelry. Mantis: Luna Moth: Giant Beetle:

I love them EVERY day....so thank you all for giving me such pleasure. You all are so talented...it is just like getting one of those "Taste of Home" magazines (no ads) .... I can't remember the name of the magazine...just remember how hard it was to part with them.

Yes, that is such an inviting looking scene, Alisande. Bigack, that makes me want to book a safari. I loved the Cabelas we took in while in Florida. Moni, a scene like that makes me think about what a nice place that would have been to be a kid in.

Susna, I love your house! It always looks so serene.

This is NOT a "photo of the day" -- but rather a chance for someone to ID a plant. Please tell me what these red flowers are. I thought astilbe but now I'm not so sure... ??

All great pics. Gazania I was happy to see your Monarch butterfly. We just had a program at church Thursday evening and the speaker was a lady that raises and tags Monarchs. I never knew anyone did that. She had caterpillars and chrysalises and some butterflies that we watched her tag and release. Idiot that I am I didn't take my camera, but at least got a few shots with my cell phone camera.
