Bad New ~ Good News

Bad News ~ I am leaving in about 15 minutes to drive to Spring Hill, TN for a stress test.. I have been having a lot of pressure & discomfort in my chest for the past while, and so my Cardiologist wants to do a stress test. He said he will bring my heart rate up to about 95% to see how my heart is pumping.. I can't go higher than that because the heart attack I did suffer killed 1/3 of my heart muscle.. but that's okay, I can function with 2/3 and function well. If he finds anything, I will go directly to Williamson Med Ctr. today.

I hate doing these stress tests, but we need to find out what's happening.

Good News ~ My most awesome hubby know how much I hate these tests and offered to take me to Joes's Crab Shack in Nashville after my test. That is is my test comes out alright and the Cardiologist doesn't put me in Williamson Med Ctr. right away..

Now that wonderful man has me actually anxious to leave and get this done so we can enjoy some good crab legs.

I have had several awesome folks phone me and pray with me about my upcomng tests... so I should be just fine..

Good luck, Kitt, I hope your test goes well, and you get a good report. Your Hubs sounds like a keeper, how thoughtful. Enjoy your Crab Shack feast. Let us know how things went.

I'd go through about any test that would involve Joe's Crab Shack as a bonus!! Praying you get good results from the test!!

I buy stuff online as I suppose everyone does, mostly for better prices. But what we lose shopping online is that friendly personal touch and that is what I have always gotten at places like Adam's Nursery and Jeff's Koi House. Sometimes the better price isn't always the better deal. I guess if we don't want to see more of our local businesses like Adam's close, we need to make sure to support them by shopping locally. Just a thought. Perhaps, those of us who communicate via this forum can share with the rest which are our favorite local pond and fish dealers? I sometimes hunt online for businesses in the Tampa Bay area that sell pond stuff (koi, aquatic plants, and other supplies but don't really see many out there. In addition to Adam's, where else do you shop for your pond and garden, Babalu_aye?

So very, very true, sunny. My spring flush lasted about five minutes after a winter with scant rain, compounded drastically by early hot and drying winds and scorching sun. I'm still looking at a garden with very few blooms, partially because I'm disbudding the young roses and partially because it's summer in my hot, arid region. However, when I was really feeling the summer doldrums I began to notice new shoots coming up here and there and that alone has given my spirits a lift. For a while nothing was growing at all, in spite of heavy watering, but I suppose the roses were just thinking it over. I'm not expecting much for the remainder of the summer, but now I'm already looking forward to fall when I hope to let some of the youngsters bloom at least a little bit, and the more mature roses should be pulling up their socks too. It seems that we always live in hope for the future when the present isn't quite what we wanted or expected. Maybe that's why gardeners live so long! Ingrid

Well, it is my first year with them so when I saw that spike appear (and I knew the flowers came first) I just assumed that it would be the flower. :((( BTW, can I keep them in pots indefinitely, or at least for a few years? if so, how big a pot does it have to be? thanks for any info you can give me, Annie
