This is an old pic, but last evening there was another doe and twins out back, too dark to get their pic.

Thursday morning was very dewey; I had no idea there were so many spider webs in the tall grass beyons the vegetable garden.

Great shots, everyone! A doe and her twins are about 10 feet from my kitchen window as I write this. I worry that the fawns have become too accustomed to people.

Taigen, perhaps your Endless Summer had the same experience as mine. Previous winters killed the plant to the ground. Although it is said to bloom on new wood as well as old, it didn't produce very many blooms on the new wood--maybe one or two each year. Then this year a lot of the plant survived the winter. Finally able to bloom on new and old wood, it put on a spectacular show.

How about them crab legs :o)

We went on a tour of a nursery last week. I was so enthralled with this planting featuring a dark red coleos...the log walls just set it off so well. The tall center was asparagus, which they used quite a lot in their displays.

The last of the lilies from my garden this year:

Alisande...I have heard and followed all theories of how to get this to bloom. I finally just left it alone and decided it will be dug up and gone in the next year or so. It has pretty large leaf folliage and so I have kept it...waiting and wanting...this year it happened. Now though I have so many other thing planted around it, not sure how it will play out...but very happy it bloomed. On old and new wood...we are talking 5-6 years of waiting!
