Were you pleased with the outcome??? I was ok with it but I was pulling for another one...I won't give the results now in the event you haven't seen it yet.

glenda--i'm so glad you brought this up! i watched a number of last season's episodes and thought it was a really, really interesting show! and i really liked the final choice of steve and dan and sometimes manage to catch their new show (which i think is shown here on sunday mornings). jenn--i think that is reggie that you are referring to and yep, he seems to be pretty easy to watch. i also like the young woman with the latin background, the spiky-haired guy and think nathan could become interesting. carissa i liked in one spot but was turned off in another...don't know what they are "all about" yet but i'll be interested in upcoming episodes and what develops with each of them!

I was rooting for Reggie, but I think Guy did do a little better job in his pilot demo. I saw the pilot demos again last night and lagatella was right -- he did address the audience as girls!!! How did I miss that, and what was he thinking??? They were both very worthy and I'd watch both of them if they had their own shows. I was surprised to see he will have a contract of only 6 episodes, but I guess that's to give it a trial run and see how it goes. If he does a lot of calimari and other things like that that I don't like, that will be it for me. I do want to try the chicken recipe Reggie did in his pilot, that looked delicious. Jen

I missed that show-DH got control of the remote yesterday,I had no chance. I loved it the last 2 years, and I totally agreed with the winners-Guy Fieri and Big Daddy! I'll watch for a re-run.

I was looking forward to it all day and then I forgot it!! It will be on here again later, I'll catch it then. I really didn't have a favorite of the two remaining so I'm not too excited about whoever the winner is.

I've been catching up on the Marathon all day..It's not the finale yet..I know who I think people think it should be, but after Amy's UNSUCCESS..I'm betting the FoodNetwork will go in a VERY different direction..

One of the losers from prior episodes of Next Star is getting a new show on Food Network starting in October. It's called "Chef Jeff" and he's the tall black guy. Proves that even if you lose on one show, it's not "the end". By the way- SPOILER ALERT_ I was rooting for Lisa to win. She's so pretty and so edgy-I think we'll be seeing more of her!

Hey, what ever happened to Amy? I think I saw one show of hers and she was gone.

Didn't they let the viewers vote before and that's how she won? Maybe thats why they didn't do that this time and made the decision themselves.

Spoiler or not, I missed the final show. Who won? I guess I was pulling for the young blond gal, (I'm terrible about remembering names) but being shes gone, I didn;t have a real fav of the ones left. Thanks for any info. Dottie

When it came down to the final three, DH and I were both hoping for the outcome that actually occurred, but really doubted that one would win. All along I had a love/hate relationship with Lisa (did she think it was cute the way she kept squinting her eyes?), but in the end she really shot a great pilot. I would have been happy with any of the three winning.

It happened exactly how I figured it would.

Big Daddy will do well..
He reminds me of a guy who has a Grilling/BBQ show called Rob. He has this great set up in his back yard and entertains well it seems.. :o)

I just started watching this season. I didn't know Guy Fieri was a previous winner!
I'm satisfied with the winner this time. I'll give his show a try.

I had to go to FoodTV to find out who won. Watched it to the end then missed it! I'm soooooo happy! It'll be a good show.

I thought Lisa would win. I haven't been impressed with Aaron until the last couple episodes. I'll be anxious to see his show in a week.

I certainly was not for Lisa, she was so much into herself. I think Aaron had really improved and would have been a great host. In the end the best came out the winner.

Just finished watching, as I dvr'd it from last nite.
Kinda surprised Aaron won!
All three were great!
Lisa was my least favorite!
