I do take things for granted sometimes. I should have also mentioned that you should use a tall enough vessel if you don't want to re-decorate your kitchen. Give it a try with plain water, it will take a couple of minutes and you will see that it will not splatter. Don't squash this idea until you have tried it. Ann, FOAS, wattage rating in appliances can be complicated and misleading. I am not going to explain that here. For a blender, rotation speed is obviously very important. There is a reason why not too many blenders tell you their RPM, because they don't want you to know and compare. You can have a hundred horse power motor that only rotates at 100 RPM, and that will not be a very good extremely powerful blender. You will also notice that most immersion blenders do not have ventilation holes like a counter top blender. Where does the heat go? 500 watts is over 1300 BTUs of heat that needs to go some place. Posted by Lindac "Any motor will run faster when it's not doing "work"....everything from a stand mixer to a stick blender to a chain saw to a car running out of gear." But in this technique, the motor is working very hard. When you lift the blender out of the liquid, the motor immediately gains speed. The speed is stored "Potential Energy" in the motor's rotor mass, just like a flywheel in a steam engine. The stored (momentum) energy is the key why this "in and out" technique works. Did someone say "Squash"? I made a kabocha squash soup, so creamy smooth with a hand blender. :-) dcarch

I moved much like you did when we moved here. I moved my kitchen, bathrooms, artwork, garage and shop things, clothing not in drawers and quite a bit of my office although not a heavy desk. 6 minute drive. I'd boxed books and hadn't put them in my SUV yet, the movers graciously offered to take them as they had room. I had brought my own lamps too I think. . All my living room furniture was new and delivered by the store as were the appliances. I tipped each of the three man crew, who brought the heavier pieces only, $40 each, Same with the movers I hired to move my mother to her retirement apartment an hour from her home. They moved three rooms of furniture and her clothing, I packed her kitchen myself, put those things into my SUV. It was a warm day, I had water which they accepted, soft drinks that they declined. Two men. They preferred to stop and buy their own lunch after they had packed and before they unpacked her things in her new city. I tipped them $40 each, although I think they were worth about 10 times that much for as helpful and good natured as they were that day last Fall ;-) Editing to add - I just remembered with the company hired to move mother, they brought us coffee! They called and asked how many were at the house that morning, and arrived with Starbucks, their treat ;-)

Thanks for response technospeak. At what wattage or level does is the line considered no longer low voltage? For example if I get a small 2 channel amp to run the speakers, it would be considered low voltage....but if its a hi current hi wattage amp....does it then change to a need for a necessary depth? or is high voltage reserved for other types of equipment for power like landscape lighting or something else? You definitely exceeded my intelligence when you wrote about the boxes and blank plates and gaskets. I will need to google what a setup as you mentioned looks like. I can visuallize pvc running under ground but I'm unsure what the other entry into ground, boxes, and plates you mention. I currently have rock speakers but I'm now contemplating speakers to be mounted on my back fence. I think I no longer want equipment on the ground taking up walking area or on grass. I was thinking of converting to landscaping and so the rock speakers seemed like a good choice, but between growth of plants or if I never plant anything, speakers off the ground might be a better option for versatility in future changes. Unless I plant a tree in front of them lol. I intend to start digging this upcoming week. I had some medical issues which has caused a postponement of some things. I have to make sure I don't accidently cut into spectrum wires or att wires while I'm digging the trench. Thanks again technospeak. If you have some customer images or example of a final product or even the install process showing the pieces you mention, the conduit, boxes, etc... that would be greatly appreciated. I'll be googling as best i can what you said before I buy some pvc or anything else.

Leaves do not regrow. That's basically what a snake plants spears are (though they're modified stems probably)...but they don't regrow. Damage is permanent.
