I have several things that are microfiber and all can be and are washed in the washing machine. I have mops, towels, steam mop pads, microfiber dusting gloves. etc all go in my wash.

I buy the multi-packs of microfiber cloths in the automotive department. I use them in my swiffer with some ammonia and water to clean my vinyl.

Toss them in the wash - easy and cheap and really clean floors!

Just don't ever use fabric softener on them.

Here's what you can do. One, wash the mop head. regardless of the instructions. Don't use fabric softener, use cold water, let air dry. If it's ruined, then buy the other type of mop. If it's clean and still usable, you saved the money of a new mop. But your mop is currently useless if it's filled with dust already.

I'd buy a big bag of cloths at Costco, and then use rubber bands to attach to a mop head. Replace and wash as needed.

Just don't wash them with towels. They will attract lint like crazy.

I've never heard of microfiber that can't be washed. Are you sure it's actually microfiber?

Just putting it out there. Is the material currently on the mop possibly a disposable cloth? Could be the kind of mop that could be used with either and came with a disposaable cloth as a trial. That would explain the instructions not to launder.

I attach mine to my Swiffer with safety pins - when I'm finished, I toss it in the laundry - no problems.

I use micrfiber cloths to clean,love them.I wash them,my daughter cleans at a hospital,thats all they use.SWhe told me about them.My grocery store sells them.
