Garage sale find

I went to my first sale of the year today.....only beacause I was told about it. It was supposed to have rubber stamps and scrap book stuff. Since I didn't get there until almost 4pm, that was mostly gone. I got a couple of specialty baking pans for one of the kids, which ever one wants them, and community cook books from two different local communities! Those were the best part!

Tami, buying community cookbooks are the best, IMO. I'm always thrilled when I find one from some town I've never been to or even heard of!

Because we know that most of the recipes are usually winners and they're often fixed in the homes of the people who submit them.

I had to take a double take at who was posting this. My old babysitter posted on facebook today that she was having a crafting and scrapbooking garage sale today....in Kansas.

I considered skinneri...but then, the lip looks different, and more like bowringiana. Color does not matter, there are variations. Height is reasonable. I think what matters if the time of the year it is blooming. Here is mine from September 2007 From Orchids September 2007 And here is cerulea, in bloom now From Orchids March 2008 According to A.A. I bought 2 new crab pots for $5.00 each.
and some dust masks.. for a dollar.

It was a slow day here ... I got a cutting mat for a buck, and a box of 100 envelopes for card-making, for $2.

This is the first I've been to this year. It wasn't even advertised, except by word of mouth and signs. One had this in it.

Maccaroni & Cheese Pizza
1 box Kraft Mac & Cheese
pizza sauce
pizza toppings
shredded cheese

Prepare mac & cheese as per box directions. Spread in bottom of 9 x 13 pan. Top with sauce. Add toppings and cheese. Bake.

I typed the recipe from memory, so don' know if the pan is greased or not, or what temp for how long. I'll look if anyone is interested!

The church is no longer in existance, as the bishop has been closing a lot of churches in our county in the past few years, including ours. Even though it isn't in my town, it is/was nearby. It is a treasure for that reason alone.

I don't exactly enjoy cooking, but I love reading cook books. I buy a lot of them!

I've been out of town every weekend. I did manage to stop in at a local thrift store & buy a piece of cambric for upholstery, .50cents! Made my day!
