Bachelorette---Who will be watching the MTA tonight?

I'm thinking this is going to be a free for all tonight with the men talking about the "behind the scenes" stuff that went on.

Who do you think comes back next week for the surprise proposal? I think I saw a youtube video that shows the man's shoes and he was wearing boots. That seems to indicate it's Wes, but then that's a rather obvious clue, don't you think?

I'll hate myself in the morning, but I'll be watching. Are there subliminal messages buried in the titles or what? I can't seem to quit this show!! LOL

I'll be watching too! Will be interesting to see what happens between Wes, Jake and Tanner.

litereader, I think the subliminal messages are in the background music LOL

I now have to add Big Brother to my reality watch list. It like Bachelorette is so bad, but I can't look away. Better the drama in their lives than in mine.

Hialt, I have built some very simple and low retaining walls along one side of a sidewalk. The ground slopes and I put steps in the walk every 8 feet. The low walls match the steps in the flower beds. In other words, the steps are only about 8" high, so the walls are only about 8" high (but extend into the ground for another 4 - 6 inches. I dug a trench about 6 inches down and 18 inches wide I think my walls are about 5 feet long. Laid stones the size of cantaloupes in the bottom of the trench in 3 rows. On these 3 rows of melon-sized stones, I laid 2 rows of stones, on those 2 rows, I laid 1 row. Between each layer, I shoveled in some pre-mix concrete. The concrete works better for me with these rough stones than mortar. Thats all there was to it. The stones are basalt which is very easy to find around here. Youll hear how you need to pour a footing of concrete before you build your stone wall - - but, my "stone wall" is only 12 or 14 inches tall. They've been there about 10 years and frost has never moved them. Rows of 3 stones, 2 stones, 1 stone - bags of premix concrete, a little water and then stir with a hoe, shovel between layers of stone - - easy, peasy. Skybird, here's my problem with pelleted lettuce seed (which tends to be limited in selection) - we have too much fun ordering the beautiful varieties: Nevada Slobolt Red Ruffled Oaks Green Ice Salad Bowl Buttercrunch Nancy Territorial Salad Blend Johnny's Mix theres more, but Ive forgotten And, I'm much more of a stir fry guy than a salad lad. So, then there are the Asian greens . . . Thteve (Actually, I spoke with a lisp until I was eleven and had to work really, really hard to leave it behind. The little girl who took therapy with me, never did accomplish it even tho she was twice as smart as I was and a lot cuter . . . :o)

I love men in kilts! He didn't really ask a question about the F.S. but in my opinion implied that something happened to make him think he would be chosen. She looked embarrassed and uncomfortable. I don't think he should have brought it up an TV, Not gentlemanly at all. Makes me wonder if the couples do get more intimate when the cameras go off and the door closes. If that is true, all i can think of is.....ick! To think the person you really like or even love (or think you do) is sleeping with me tonight, then with someone else tomorrow night, again.....ick. I still like Ed, but wouldn't take it personal if she had chosen a different guy. Geesh, Dottie

I’m starting to think the herd of “animals” might have been females and adolescents! I definitely know what deer look like, and they’re way too big and don’t look really at all like what I saw. I don’t believe elk were ever that far east—in “modern times” at least—and they definitely weren’t elk anyway, not even females or young ones. The main thing that was so absolutely amazing about “these things” is the way the BOUNDED around—almost as if their “toes” weren’t even touching the ground! They almost looked like they were “floating up and down” they moved so easily across the ground! But because of that I think possibly they “looked smaller” than they really were! They MUST have been female/young antelope! And—Centennial didn’t exist when I lived down thataway! Parker Road was 2-lane too, and there was a stop sign at the intersection of Parker and Arapahoe! And Tagawa was the ONLY thing on the west side of Parker! ALL the rest of the land was Richlawn Turf Farm growing fields! (470 had just been opened and was still free when I was moving away from there!) I don’t even recognize the area when I occasionally get down there—get lost after living there for more than fifteen years! (Smoky Hill was built up already back then—pretty new subdivisions, but all houses already!) (I think Broncos at Dove Valley was just being built when I left!) Love your story about pointing out of a parked Wildlife Viewing Car!” He would have gotten me! [When I was a “kid” I was at the local movie with a friend—it was a horror movie called The Tingler, and we were sitting thru it a second time—theater was the only place that was cool in summer! It really was a dumb movie—the “evil thing” that was supposed to “scare” you looked like a strip of fake fur being pulled around on a piece of thread—and it wasn’t scary at all. Everybody else was screaming “at the appropriate times,” and we couldn’t figure out why! So we decided that we were both going to scream at a time when we knew nothing at all “scary” was gonna be happening! We did, and everybody else in the theater screamed too! We thought it was pretty funny—but then we got a “talking to” by the usher! It was still funny!] Another story! The first time (since 1949) that I went up to Yellowstone, 2006, I went in the east gate, and, less than a mile into the Park the cars were all stopped in the road. I was close enough to the ”front of the line” to be able to see the buffalo! Got out and started walking closer and there were a couple hundred buffalo grazing on both sides of the road—and roaming this way and that all over the road. We were parked there for a half an hour, and by then there were cars parked as far as you could see in both directions—everywhere—and just about as many people out of their cars as there were buffalo! (Yeah! Some folks were WAY too close!) We were all talking—the one couple I was talking to was from New York! I have NEVER seen so many people that were SO happy to be in a Traffic Jam! (And I think maybe putting a few buffalo here and there along the Interstates might be the perfect cure for Road Rage!) I went back in ’12—to see the buffalo again, and to see the “terraces” by the north entrance which had had way too many people in ’06! In 2012 there were virtually NO buffalo (near the roads), and the Terraces had “dried up” during the intervening years—but the people were still there! Yeah, I know you don’t see all those birds/animals in your yard—but you are SO lucky, first, to “work” somewhere where you have so much opportunity for wildlife viewing, and then to live where there’s still so much “open land” left—and closer to the foothills! The few birds I named above are pretty much all I EVER get up here—in my yard! And, instead of increasing in summer, for me I pretty much see the same ones! Usually get a few goldfinches in summer, plus some hummers, but then I normally lose most/all of the flickers and downies over summer—and rarely see a Junco in summer! Right now I’m trying to figure out a—possibly—new one I’m seeing! Maybe 6 weeks ago I saw small birds hanging onto the suet cages. My first impression, because of the basic shape, was that they were Juncos, but Juncos aren’t usually “clingers,” and after the first couple brief times I saw them I realized that they looked smaller than Juncos, and not as “roly-poly.” One time I had at least a dozen of them on the two cages! Some were back again today, and now I’m considering the possibility that they’re peewees! The head doesn’t look as “square” as peewees look in most of the pics, but I think that might be what they are! Boy! The illustrations/pics in my (FOUR) bird books sure do make them look different! Googled them and some of what I found look like what I have—and some don’t! Final decision still pending! By the way, on the “log” that I re-drilled to hang horizontally, I filled two little “dishes” on top with broken up nuts and the mealworms I bought, and also filled some of the holes on the sides with peanut butter. I HAVE seen a downy eating the peanut butter a few times, and this morning I saw a chickadee eating some of the nuts! The nuts and worms ARE getting gone, but I’m not seeing who’s eating them—could be blackbirds (which came back today!), so I’m not putting much out till I know for sure if some of the “good” birds (pardon my prejudice!) are getting the nuts and worms or not! With the mealworms I’m pretty surprised I haven’t seen any of the flickers or downies getting some of them! Did you see the recent (month ago?) PBS program about coywolves! Dave is a real jerk, IMO!

Strange that Reid had "a prior committment" tonight. They showed no footage of him and I'm wondering if that's because he's the one that comes back with the unexpected proposal next week.

Watch the ending of the promo for next weeks show. The clue is there if watch close enough. hehe I'm just saying. hehe

I'm listening to it right now. Not much time given to the guys with the bimbette interviews taking so much time up.

"Loved" the way the questions about Wes were phrased and answered. If they call this tell-all "unpredictable" one more time....

Wonder how much they paid off Wes to keep him off the show so they could keep the drama going?

Isn't it just amazing LOL how the bimbette can be as much of a tease (forum would never allow me to use the real term) as she likes, climbing on, rubbing on and lap dancing the guys all she wants but he gets called on the carpet for telling her she has a nice butt. LOL

The double standard lives on. While I don't care for Dave's style I certainly understand where he's coming from. So many of the men do come across as pretty wussy/wimpy. Phil comae off as a downright "catty" woman on this segment. Snidely leading questions and feeding answers. What a tool.

Being as I have mostly had guy friends all my life I do agree 100% there is a silently understood "man-code". Most any boy by the time he's in the 8th grade learns this.

Dave is a crude jerk. All this crap about man code. What BS. They should be there for Jillian. Chris doesn't like Dave and none of the audience did including Jill. Reid wasn't there for a reason. I'll bet he comes back next week. I'll also bet the next bachelor is Jake. I like Reid a lot and Kypton. Do not like dorky Ed. I'm glad Jill complimented Juan. He was a gentleman. There were only a very few in that group..Kypton , Ed, Jake, Reid and Juan. The others were loudmouth frat boys.

I am so annoyed that I actually watched last night. I had lots of ironing to do so I watched- it was probably the most boring 'Tell All' I've ever seen. Please tell me why no one has ever corrected her grammar when she says "Him and I" it just grates on my ears.

I agree about the "man code" crap. That's just as bad as guys saying "man cave" or "man's room" in their houses.

After it was all over I thought I wasted 2 hours although there were some funny moments like when Ed farted on stage at the rose ceremony.

Wes.....what a woose! I laughed when the guys said his music is popular in Mexico. Does he really think that he will make it big now? Doubtful. He has delusions of being the next Garth Brooks.

LOL....I noticed the subject of farting came up pretty often, last night. Only Men would herald this as a major news event. Dave is an over grown frat BOY. Foot fetish Tanner is creepy. I think Wes was made the villain by editing, but I think he either consented to it or played up to it, for the publiity, but I know I wouldn't want my daughter to date him. I don't get all the flak Ed got because he thought he needed to leave to save his job. Would this Bimbette rather have an unemployed boy friend? I've been moreand more turned off by the obvious editing of the show. There isn't anything real about this so-called reality show. JMO Dottie

There are only two places where farting can be a major life event -- the first is anywhere several guys are together; and the other is in a hospital post-surgical ward. Until you can fart, you don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of getting out of there (because if you can't "pass gas," it means your intestines aren't yet functioning after being under general anesthesia).

Chris Harrison said in his blog that Wes was asked to be on the MTA special, but declined. Then, Wes started contacting some of the guys in an attempt to see how many would "support him" if he were to appear on it. He then contacted the producers to say that he wanted to be on the show, but they (the producers) said no.

I wasn't watching the show at all when Ed left. I think I only saw one episode before he came back. So, although I know he works in Information Technology, I don't know for what company he works, or what his duties/responsibilities are, etc. The "IT world" encompasses one heck of a lot of different stuff. I work in IT, and there are a little over 150 of us in the IT dept. With the exception of the desktop support group (about 20 folks), there aren't too many of us who can take over other folks' duties and responsibilities. Desktop support is desktop support is desktop support. But the database administrators couldn't suddenly take over the duties of the Citrix administrators; the Exchange administrators couldn't suddenly take over the duties of the webmasters, etc. In addition to not having the skills or experience to do the other stuff, there are the network permission restrictions. Only specific folks can log onto a server to apply patches or make any changes; only specific folks can make changes to the network firewall, etc., etc. And there aren't too many folks in IT (at least where I work) who have so little to do that they don't have to worry about whether or not they're at work for days or weeks on end.

So, I can completely understand Ed being worried about his job. Any IT person who really cares about what he/she does would be concerned about how it was being handled in their absence.

I didn't see any reason to show or discuss the fart episodes. It further reduced the show to a locker room atmosphere, IMO.

But, during previous episodes and also on the MTA show, I really didn't want to hear how Jillian nearly peed her pants. It just wasn't very classy of her to even say that and it was less classy for the producers to show her saying that.

I predict she ends up with no one particularly if Reid shows up. The shows have more been into introducing "surprising endings" than at the beginning of the series.

Chris Harrison has said that this show has the most dramatic ending out of all of them. Of course, he didn't specify if he meant out of all of the Bachelorette shows only, or if that includes the Bachelor shows, too. :-)

And when Jillian was on the MTA show, she said that she's very, very happy now.
