I don't watch this tv show, but you can be certain if they were coconut palms, then it wasn't filmed anywhere in California. There are only a few sad examples of coconuts in southern California, and they certainly don't ever look "healthy" and lush here, marginal at best for those who simply must have one.

I am not trying to disparage the ACA. Prior to the HIPPA regulations years ago you are correct SSN were used. We have not used them for at least 5-6 years. This was prior to the ACA. I run a dental office and have run medical offices in the past. Your insurance companies may require your SSN when you sign up for insurance; but your doctor, dentist, etc do not require it for processing your forms. You should have an updated ID card from your insurance company that has your individual and group numbers on it. The software used by dental offices now utilizes the these numbers and we NEVER have to key in a SSN. Processing claims is done electronically and I NEVER have to key in a social to process. I do not know what the ACA requires as far as ID. It is my understanding that if you are still getting your insurance through an insurance co. you use their number which is not SSN. If the government state or local pays for your insurance via ACA or medicare they in fact utilize your SSN, as it is your governmental ID number. Three years ago I was a victim of identity theft and going through that process was told that only banking and the social security administration needed your SSN. Our identities were stolen via our BANK. By a bank employee, a loan officer. Who of course had all of our info. In the three years since I refuse to put my social on a form for a random person or online. Ever.

LOL, yeah, they've all been pretty tacky :) I think you'd have to watch a whole season to understand the addiction . . . these people are in the house for 3 months - no contact whatsoever with anybody else, no TV, no newspapers, etc. After a short time, they completely forget there are cameras everywhere and it gets pretty ugly. You see them as their raw, unguarded selves. One of the first seasons showed a vengeful girl using another houseguest's toothbrush to scrub out a toilet . . . then putting it back into the toothbrush holder. There are no "normal" people here . . . they are all drama kings and queens who are completely narcissistic. It's just an opportunity to be a voyeur into the world of the 'I can't believe there are people who would do that stuff' kind of thing . . . hey, we have long, boring winters up here :) The 'strategy' revolves around keeping yourself aligned with a group so you have power in numbers when it comes to voting people out. This year they threw a monkeywrench into that area, because they are being voted out in teams of two - so whether or not one person in the team is liked or innocent (of whatever), they both go. The power in the house is constantly shifting; someone may be king of the world one week, and the bottom of the totem pole the next week. The first seasons didn't have people who knew each other . . . but in order to change/spice things up, the last few seasons started doing that. The BB motto is "expect the unexpected" so unlike Survivor, where things are always pretty much the same every year with different faces, BB shakes things up a lot. Also, by having it on 2 to 3 times a week, you REALLY get to know the houseguests . . . the good, the bad and the ugly :) They also have an uncensored version of the house on Showtime on late night. I can't stay up for much of it, but it's always stuff they could never show on primetime. This bunch has been wild as all getout at night . . . my 21 yr. old DD watches with me and I made her promise she'll NEVER EVER try out for this show . . . her poor old mother couldn't take watching her baby in a mess like that . . .

Cody got verbally and almost physically abusive to Paul in Paul's HOH room. That caused a huge blow up. And it led to Jessica breaking up with Cody. She was extremely upset about his behavior and that he once again has her in a bad situation. They Simi made up but they are not very happy. She is going back and forth whether to save him or go ahead and let him go home. Cody has been crying, Jessica has been crying, Mark and Elana have been crying! Nuts. Cody is scary the comments that he makes are not the normal thing you hear in a game he doesn't seem to be to able to differentiate between the game and his life in the military. He freaks me out. I worry about him going on a killing spree after he leaves and the houseguest are home. Knock on the door Oh hi Cody, hi Paul, bang bang! I think Jess is finally asking him questions she should have asked before jumping in bed with him. And she isn't liking the answers. Not fitting her images of her future. His main objective for getting on big brother was to get enough money to fix his truck! He prefers to be alone and not talk much. She has a totally different lifestyle.
