You're the only person I "know" who has an AGA. The whole concept fascinates me.....how do you like it?

There have been lots of posts on the Appliance Forum about this topic. It seems that the top three brands mentioned are Bluestar, the Capitol Culinarian and Wolfe. Two of the features that the appliance gurus like are high BTU burners (23,000 BTU) and open burners rather then sealed burners. I think the first 2 have open and the Wolfe has sealed - but you'd have to double check that.

Wolfe and Sub Zero are now the same company - Wolfe for cooking and Sub Zero for refrigeration. I've had my Sub Zeros for 24 years and I can highly recommend the company.

I don't have any of those three (I have a Dacor) and I honestly can't tell you which one is best. It depends on how much you want to spend, how much space you have ( these ranges come in varying sizes and burner and griddle configurations).

Have you looked at the manufacturer's web sites to see all the different ones they offer?

If you use the search function at the bottom of the Appliance Forum and type in the brand name you'll be able to read what other posters have said about them.

All 3 of the ones listed above are good - as are some other brands - but they have different features and prices.

How wide is your Aga? Do you need to try and match the same dimensions?

Yes its 4 oven black porceline ,beautiful love cooking on it,like Thanksgiving you put everything in differnt ovens When guests get there its ready,you do most cooking in ovens you can boil water in like 2 seconds.nice in winter Ive used it like sit dough to rise,crafts,my hubby always sat gloves on top,shoes in front.Its pretty big 41/2' maybe long,its in an arch brick arch,Its 20,000 in canada Im asking 5,000 they last a life time big cast iron,we get it serviced ever year.I wax it with car wax every year.It has 2 big about 16" burners on top to get food started.then you put it in the oven.

I wish I was closer, I would buy it in a heartbeat!

Ahh Bulldinkie....I admit to AGA envy. I would love, love, love to have one. But I do not have gas...And my current oven is a built-in...and cooktop in the island..so it would be a significant remodel effort.
However, the top commercial style ranges I would say are Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Bluestar, and La Corneu.
