Speaking of tattoos...I got one! (pic)

I've been thinking of getting one ever since I turned 18. I'm almost 34 so I figured that if I still wanted it then it was likely that I'd never regret it, LOL. I have wanted a red maple leaf on my ankle for ages, but I figured that I'd get one in honour of my three daughters first. I (and they) love ladybugs so I got three tattooed on my foot, one for each of them. I LOVE how it turned out although it hurt like hellO! LOL I shudder to think how it would have felt if I had had a bigger one done.

Here's a pic and please don't mind my yucky manly foot and my mosquito bites and my yucky carpet, teehee.

I am so excited!

Those are SO danged cute!!! My friend is wanting a ladybug on her big toe! I tried to get her to get it the day I got mine..but she said she didn't have the $$'s (that traslates to she was CHICKEN)lol

I love my Dragonfly (and the meaning) and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

I love the snow pictures with your junk, but you can keep it! LOL It was 28 with a wind chill of 15 here yesterday morning and mid 30s this morning with a windchill of 20+ and that is way too cold for me. Wind chill didn't get out of the 30s all day today.....

That little sugar maple is amazing, littlebug! Is it a seedling tree or a cultivar? Dax - I'm glad to see Fire Dragon colors up well in more northern areas and not too late to avoid freezes. I was thinking of one myself (zone 7 MD) and thought it would do well, but also for my dad in Ohio (zone 5/6) and was concerned based on reports from the South that it might color too late in Ohio. But since it does well in IL it probably would do OK in OH, too. No color to speak of on the baldcypress here yet, but I expect it very soon.

tjicken~ I had no clue which one you were talking about and had to go look it up. LOL! (tags have been lost over the years.) Wow! It will be great if it ever blooms. He's had it about 5 yrs now with no blooms. He liked it because of the color and shape of the needles. Thank you for sharing the name. Oh and I found today the comon name is Arizona hedge hog..lol! I'm in Tucson, Arizona. :) puglvr1 and emerald.. Thank you! Yes he is proud and has to take care of his plants on his own when he asks me to buy them! He grows sunflowers and a few others types in the summer, and helps with all garden chores in general. It started when he was 3. What little boy doesn't like dirt! LOL! But I think mom got more excited over finding worms than he did. LOL! And now that he's older, I have to keep them a secret or his dad and him would be heading to the lake. :) Emerald~ thank you! I tried that and the glue just didnt want to give... it ended up taking all the needles with it. It was on pretty thick. The plant is o.k. though. I do have one small fish hook type that blooms each summer. Just showed up in my yard next to my barrel cactus.

Oopsy daisy...forgot about this thread! Took a hike today, WITH CAMERA! Now, of course, the real fun begins. Dax already 'splained it to me once, but that kind of stuff just doesn't get into this cranium very readily. Gonna be gone for next couple days. After, will see about the painful process of uploading. N-Girl, for some reason, even though my woods and surrounding area is clearly a deer yard, there is virtually no browsing going on. Just a few miles away, in any direction, the usual browse line of which you speak. I don't get it, but I like it. Just hope I don't somehow change something and cause the deer to turn on my "cedar" with a vengeance! +oM

Super cute...and your foot could be mine....Tanner has the same one and he says we have club feet....he said Thanks Mom....LOL Stacy (who so wants a new tattoo)

A tattoo on the big toe! I think that that would hurt 80 million times more than these did!

It wasn't that brave Terri. It only took maybe 20 minutes to a half hour. And a lot of wincing. LOL

Stacy, do you like shopping for shoes? My foot is a nine and WIDE so I hate shoe shopping. I only go when absolutely necessary. Blech. :)

I haven't named them Flamey, BUT the girls have claimed one each. Claire insists on the littlest one even though she's not my littlest girl. But that's okay. :)

So Kim does it hurt less on say the back or leg because I was thinking that there was NO WAY that I could sit for hours of that. It was ouchie. :D

They say on the rib area is the most painful. The one on my calf didn't hurt much the first hour. The second hour, after going over and over it, really started to hurt.

Thanks Glenda and I completely understand that it's not for everyone. :) I just feel so happy whenever I catch a glimpse of my foot throughout the day (because I'm short and my pants always cover my feet so I don't see them that often, LOL).
