Card Shower help needed! Please!

I posted this the other day and a couple of the ladies sugessted I reword my message and maybe more would respond. I had trouble with the virus and couldn't get in without getting the message. Looks like it is finally resolved, yea!

Anyway, Some of you on facebook will have heard me ask for prayers for a young man named John. He made a life altering decision and is dealing with the consequences. He had a 16 hour reconstruction surgery last Monday in Philly and went home on Sat. He is in severe pain and becoming more depressed. We are trying to do little things to cheer him up.

John loves fishing, animals and anything to do with the outdoors. Would you be willing to send me a postcard or picture of your area? Silly pet pics would work too or jsut a card of encouragement! Anything to make him smile and to show him people care.

You can send me a message and I will send you my address.

Thanks for the info Isbellpro, but unfortunately that didn't help. We have found a way to make it work. Select the samllest hoop size (100 x 100) and then load the desired patterns. Write the patterns to the card and then use the card in the embroidery machine (Brother PR190D in our case). If a larger hoop size is used (say 130 x 180 which we have) then the process does not work and we get the message "This card cannot work. Turn off power and change to embroidery card. " I assume the real problem, in our case at least, is that the pattern is enlarged by the PED-Basic software depending on the hoop size specified, and that the pattern becomes too big to load into the machine OR the PED Basic s/w genertes erors in the pattern file for a 130 x 180 hoop size. So... we are now going fine. It would be really nice if Brother would 1) acknowlwdge this problem, 2) put information in the brother web site FAQs about it and how to work around. 3) put a meaningful error message on the embroidery machine 4) fix the PED Basic s/w Let's see what happens.

Hi tricialynn! First make sure the designs you are putting on the card are no larger than 4x4 and are in PES format. Look at your settings on your PED Basic. Then try transferring just one design. If this doesn't work, go to www.brother.com follow the links for home embroidery, downloads, and get the update for the PED Basic. If I remember correctly, I had to uninstall my basic, then use their version to reinstall. It sounds scary, but is really easy. Go check out brother site if you haven't already! I have that verse but it has another sentence to it. the last sentence after She is now your guardian Angel, is....Watching over you from above. Kathy...I have it saved on my computer if you want it. I made my card very small with small but readable print. Then cut the edges with those fancy sissors. and hung it on the ornament. patti

Thank you all for helping me with this. I have about a dozen so far!

Socks, I am not sure...I looked at the envelopes I received and no footprints, unless I am missing something :)
