I work at my local library, and it really is amazing what one can get there. So many people are not aware of what a library offers nowadays, still thinking only of books. My library itself doesn't have a large selection of gardening DVDs (although we do have some Chihuly DVDs!) but we have a large selection of books and magazines, and also, as Mindy says, we can request items from other libraries. However, we can only request from libraries in-state. We can't get items from out-of-state libraries. But everyone should definitely look into her/his local library. Lots of good stuff! :) Dee

Can we add to any of these sites? (photos, recipes, etc..) I think the person that started the websites could add or change things... but I know it is very time consuming to do so. The ebay sellers site was started by Maryann. At least one of the photo pages was started by Koda. The Empty Chair site is Jodi's.

Still can't do the picture thing never will I figure out how to do that. That being said if I posted something on the KT facebook page, which isn't very active at all, my picture would appear there . How come there is hardly any activity at all on the FB kitchen table website or am I looking at an old one?

LazyPup; I love the last photo! I didn't realize that you are a Garden Gnome! All this time I thought you were a mere mortal, not one of the blessed Fey! (I mean that in the most respectful and delighted way.) JoAnn, here are some of my on, and on, and on-going quilt projects. Use whichever of these you wish. A Dresdan Plate block for a quilt I've been working on since 1994 or so. Each plate is about 14" across. I still have six waiting to be hand appliqued to the sprigged background blocks. When they're finished I can make one oversized queen quilt, or two twins. The colors are not true in these photos. The blackground is white; the colors are clear pastels. A closeup of a quarter section of the Dresdan plate. The petals were sewn together with a machine. The plates are hand appliqued to the background and then the yellow center is hand appliqued in place. Never again will I do a large, hand appliqued quilt. There's a reason God gave someone the sense to invent sewing machines! A Mariner's Compass test block. It will become a pillow top and given to a friend that likes it. The colors are this bright. Is egg dying a craft? I was happy with this little arrangement. My other life... I don't have many of my AF photos in the computer. I was in before the digital world took over. This was taken in basic; I was cold and miserable; we were just off a 6-hour march with stuffed duffels on our backs. Not Army hard but Air Force hard-enough! LOL The photo is sun faded and spotted; it was my Grandma's. I'm glad I got it scanned before any more damage was done. I was wearing fatigues and boots under the blue blazer. We had about two minutes to comb our hair (ha!) and touch up with any make up we remembered to stuff in our pockets at 0430. About five years later, snapped in my office at Dover AFB, DE. Don't you think fatigues are so very flattering to the female form? LOL My life now... Harry, flowers, purple martin colony, me. Yes, Cynic, I'll eventually get a photo taken that includes Sam. LOL
