Trying to Find Out What This Is? (some kind of tool)

I'm trying to help a friend find out what this is. Her husband found it in their barn when he was going through junk! Any idea?

Tomatos and tomatillos will do well in a 5 gallon bucket. Peppers do fine in something around the size of a gallon milk jug with the top cut off. Lettuce, spinach and other greens are, in my opinion, most efficiently grown in groups or blocks rather than 1 per container. 6-12 square inches per plant is enough for most to obtain full size. 6 inches for lettuce and 12" for the larger greens. Even more efficient is to plant closer together and harvest some before full sized for earlier picking and the remainder can then continue growing larger. You might also consider containers like Earthboxes for veggies. They tend to be very space efficient. Also, to conserve space consider growing tomatos upside down and hanging them rather than having them take up floor space.

I bought some those peppers from a Mexican supermarket a few years ago and took the seed and planted. I think they are commonly called bird's eye. They will ripe red.

Follow-up: I got a full audit with blower door test, which was awesome. Found a number of prominent leaks, some of which I'm plugging myself (supply registers, outlets, windowframes), some of which are for future consideration (basement), and some were plugged when I got my attic sealed and insulated yesterday. It turned out that after my recent roofwork, there were some areas of the attic that really needed to be sealed and insulated, so I am I happy I got that done in any case. Now we will see how the house performs on a hot day, assuming we ever get another one around here. Next on my todo list is probably my horrible supply ducts in the basement for the upstairs supplies (undersized, uninsulated and leaky). But we'll see how things go in the meantime.

Don't know if this is like the one you misplaced, but it's an excellent tool. I just bought a "traditional Japanese weeding sickle" Mine is from Growtech.com (per label) but there many on the market from different retailers. It can get into tight places near other plants, go under a plants roots and lift them out, cut a swath through a lot of weeds and get into cracks between bricks. Weeded for over an hour with very little pain afterwards. That's unusual. The wooden handle is 4.5 ". I wish it was just 1 or 2 " longer. Although the wood handle is comfortable, a piece of slit foam over the handle would increase it's comfort even more. It is dangerously sharp. You would not want to grab the wrong end from a bag of gardening tools.

In trying to check through Google, I came up with an Ideal Mfg. Co. (I couldn't read in the picture what the M word was after Ideal) and there was a Vintage Bullet Luber listed on e-Bay??

Looks quite a bit different than this reloading tool in the link, but take a look cause there are some similarities.

My dad might know what it is, but he's 45 minutes away with no computer.. so he's no help.
