Really, the question is, metal or shingles. We need a new roof. The contractor asked us metal or shingles. I asked his opinion. He likes the metal better.

Please give me your opinions guys, because I don't have a clue and I don't have a preference. Our house is a tri-level, we live on a hill so no one really sees the roof, so which is prettier is not an issue.
