Ok, here's my monkey pic. Me hanging out with Japanese Macaque at Monkey Mountain in Beppu, Japan where 1,200 primates run free. This was 1983. About 30 seconds after this photo was taken, I was attacked by the large male laying on his side behind me. He went for my throat but I saw him coming so I threw my left arm up to protect my throat. He grabbed my upper arm and bit down so hard I lost feeling in my hand. I stood up and he held on tight, legs dangling as he hung on. A monkey man came along (after hearing a crowd of people yelling) and smacked the monkey with a bamboo cane. Barely registered with the monkey but he did let go. Though no clothing or skin was broken, I had five large hemorrhages on my upper arm where his teeth sank to the bone. Could have been much worse, could have been my neck. Jodi-

We went looking for burrowing owls, which live in prairie dog holes and we found.....you guessed it....prairie dogs!!! :0)

This is a little, light frisbee that twists to fold into a little baggie. I use it as a kitty toy. They will play with it, and kick at the baggie with their back feet then all of a sudden, POOF out pops the frisbee. It usually scares the bejeebers out of them, then they will come back. Smudge in particular loves to lay on it when it's opened. Showing it who's boss I suppose.

Great photos today! This is one of my favorite features of the KT; really enjoy seeing what all of you have to share and sharing my photos with you. Nicole, your turtle looks like he's laying on the neck of a dragon or a serpent. The end is the mouth and the knot is the eye. Or, maybe I'm just weird!
