Thanks Nicole, that does ring a bell. Had some in another home years ago and knew the name then, but 30 years have slipped by and the memory has gotten a little dull. I think in the "Daylily Community" it is spelled with an 's' instead of a 'z'. This Kwanso came with the house.

That is the place where it happened. The animal had climbed up a tree within the enclosure, and worked itself to another tree and then just dropped in with the visitors. So got freaked, and others took photos. The animal was tranquilized and returned to the enclosure. I really hope it happens again, it will really increase attendance.

murraysmom - the sprinkler looks very similar to the creations of a craftsman that would sell them at Quailcrest Farm, Wooster, at their Spring or Fall arts and craft faires. He would bring quite a few and they would all sell out before the day was over. Last year and this Spring, Mom and I made the comment that we hadn't seen him at the faires. He was elderly, perhaps he retired. I am sorry I never purchased one all those years.

A huge mystery vine in the compost pile. Cucumber? squash? pumpkin? gourd? Guess I'll have to wait to find out. Only one big bloom ready to open so far, with a bunch of others coming on.
