This, my friends, is what is soooo amazing about our wintersowing group~everyone is so supportive no matter what it may be. I really appreciate all your kind words and emails and its kinda sad to know that alot of you had a not so great year. BUT this morning, I woke up with a yard full of snow (smiles) and I think its a reminder of the goal I set forth the other day to wintersow my woes away...I know I know, its just what winter does but I'm gonna use it as I see fit. I can do that right? Today, I am going on Day 3 of thank you's from Dale's funeral service and wow, what a task that is. I am not complaining in any way. I was telling "Plays in Dirt", he had a large amount of friends and all the flower cards and memorial contributions were split up between my M.I.L. and I, and the large stack says so much about his character and the impact he made on their lives. It makes each thank you note all the more worthwhile. Now finding some addresses is a different story. How do you find the address to someone named FARMDOG? LoL I have a funny wintersowing story about Dale. My first W/S year he gave me alot of s**t about all the two liters and milk jugs all over my back deck. Thought it was a funny that I thought I could grow flowers like that and he harrassed me by saying it looked like Sanford and Son. You have to understand that was the month I quit smoking and I w/s 200+ containers. Guess what? He got to reap the rewards because I had an amazing year. He had all kinds of beauties for his yard and pond. Everyone "oohed and ahhed" over this amaranthus purple that flourished so beautifully beside his pond. Next year rolled around, he brought me one of those child's kiddie pails with bulbs in it as a little ha-ha. Then this summer, he didnt get to tend to his yard like normal due to living with us plus the cancer and its pain didnt allow his body to do much. You should have seen the Amaranthus Purple!!! It overtook his pond area & was growing up all over in the back yard. It was kinda like my ha-ha right backatcha! Of course, with a wife and two children at home, it should have never got like that but they deem other things more important. Ok, I'm gonna get sidetracked...so I better stop there with my story. I won't comment about the fibroids and enlargement of your uterus, but I've been an ENT nurse for 22 years and I urge you to seek a 2nd opinion prior to having surgery on your sinuses. Have you had a CT of the sinus yet? or at least a limited CT or a sinus series? There is no way (no matter what any doctor may tell you) to tell if it is your sinuses without one of these studies. The CT is the best. There are many ENT specialists who jump the gun, performing sinus surgery that isn't needed. It's fast and easy money for them, and many of them take advantage of their patient's "ignorance" of his/her sinuses. I do not mean ignorance in any sort of demeaning way, but we are all ignorant at some point about certain areas until we are educated about them. So, ask questions, get studies, and don't let someone start "reaming" out your sinuses at the drop of a hat. We have a friend who had sinus surgery with a clear sinus x-ray (he found out later) and he was left with meningitis after the surgeon knicked his brain case and he developed a cerebral spinal fluid leak. He is now deaf in his right ear and suffered from vertigo for 7 years until another ENT surgeon finally had to cut his nerve of hearing to control it (and this, I might add, doesn't always work). He suffered with this for 7 years because the 2nd surgeon waited until the statute of limitations was up for a law suit from the first surgery. They do stick together most of the time. Andierut

Sorry you had a stinker of a day. I remember the day we went from having four cars to having one car in one day! Fortunately all due to breakdowns, not accidents, so you have to count your blessings. By the time I got a call that #3 had broken down, there was nothing left to do but laugh.

Must be the day for car troubles. I'd taken off this morning for the country house--planning to stay until at least Sunday to get some 'stuff' done there. Got a call from DH at 4:30,, "My truck seems to have lost all it's coolant, so I had to take it to the service station." So I hopped in the car and drove an hour through rush hour traffic to get home so I can take him to work tomorrow morning. Hopefully, the truck won't take long to repair, and we'll be back at the house mid-afternoon (DH is only working 1/2 days this week, since it's his first week back after his last operation. Hope your car troubles are quickly remedied. Enjoy the movie.
