Jillian Elizabeth,4 lbs. 6 oz. 16 in. long and Rowdy Thomas,3 lb. 8 oz. 17 in. long.They are in the NICU but so far are doing well,breathing on their own and look really good.Jillian had to have a little oxygen at first but she is doing fine now.They are really tiny! Brought back memories of our 22 year old DGD that weighed only 2 lbs.9 oz.

Mom is doing OK too.They decided to take them today because her blood pressure was higher than it has been and Jillian wasn't as active as she should have been.

Thanks everyone for the prayers and good thoughts.Keep them coming because they still have a ways to go.Will post pictures later when I get some good ones.My camera phone doesn't take very good ones.I need to borrow DGD's digital.

Xuan - I would be happy to send you a few seeds! I have two pods on Limona so far... I have promised to trade some with Dizzy, but I think there will be enough to share with you, as well... I will let you know when they are ripe, and we can arrange something... I have several flowers bred, and should have a few more varieties to breed soon... I still have lots of bulbs growing scapes, and I plan to breed everything! Since I know that Limona is a fertile plant, I know that I will get more seeds from it next year, too! Elizabeth - I have one seed pod ripening on Exotic Star so far... all the others aborted. I've had a lot of breedings abort, but I understand that there will be lots of failures, as well as a few successes... Mother Nature has her reasons for what she does, and we must abide by her decisions! The more I think about it, the more I believe I should make more self breedings, as these seem to take much better! Plus, the ensuing seeds will be offspring, and not necessarily exactly like the parent plant! If you got a late start, then you will have flowers after all mine have faded! I would love to see some pictures of yours! Please do post when your bulbs bloom!

Thank you again everyone for the kind words. :) Where am I going to put all of these ? That certainly is the $64,000.00 question !!! I counted yesterday: 31 different types in pots 3 of those pots are Andrew 33 pots total 3 different types in the ground 3 Elegans (stationary, not moving them) 2 Wide Brim 1 Tiny Tears 5 NOID in ground 3 clump #1 3 clump #2 1 ½ clump #3 1 mature mini no ID 1 mature mini no ID TONS of Elegans seedlings we dug up out of the front bed and put in the back. That is all the hosta on the property. So I have about 31 places to find for all the new additions. This does not include the 40+ I have still “to order” on my wishlist. As of today 7/29/12 I have only one bed clear. Initially I feel like I want to panic . . . but the flip side (for me at least) is I am not necessarily in any hurry to get them in the ground. I would almost prefer to let them get a few years in pots where I can coddle them and take my time finding just the right spot. So, in theory I believe I have enough room for them all (plus more) but it may be a good long time before they get placed in a permanent position. When I started this project I knew it would be a long hard road to beautification. My goal is to work with as much already existing in the ground as feasibly possible. I will be ripping out a lot of established shrubs and moving existing perennials, but more so to rearrange and start over. There is an existing design that was originally landscaped into the yard, so I will be working with that and adjusting lines and height as needed. But for the most part I am settled into a very long project with no real agenda. I will of course keep you all updated as to any progress that is made. This year though is rather uneventful since I am still in the process of amending and clearing out the first bed so that I can be ready for a spring planting. Here are some glamour shots of “The Jungle”. This first one is a pic of me in the process of clearing out the first bed. These were all taken in early June. And here is basically the jist of what it looked like before I mowed it all to the ground . . . The next grouping are of the section of yard that leads up to the side porch. This I don't think ever had anything planted in it. There is a bed separating the two sections of the front yard so you can't get to this part without going around the house and coming off the side porch. The Hosta in the picture are of seedling Elegans and one of my MIL NOID. It is still too young and neglected to pitch here for proper ID. So all in all I def have enough space to keep me plenty busy for a very long time. Plus we are having an arborist come out in the winter and trim a few trees that desperately need it as well as remove a few that are too close to the house. So there will still be a nice canopy but I will have a lot more light coming through starting in 2013 and that is also something I am going to keep my eye on for plant placement. I'm sure they'll be here anytime if you have them now, Ken & Judy. Last year they were 3-4 weeks early and lasted 11-12 weeks - it was painful! The most my kids and I removed in one day was 450 last year. I paid them per beetle to remove them but that got expensive. This spring has been more normal and cooler than last. Hopefully they will not stick around so long. I've always avoided traps but if anyone has any tricks to share I'd love to hear them.

Steph-She was 36 weeks.Talked to DS a little bit ago and he said Jillian is needing some oxygen but other than that things seem to be going well.We are leaving in a couple of hours to go back over there so I'll have a "hands on" update later tonight.LOL Thanks for all the prayers.I know they help.

Yes, I thought they might be looking for trouble naming him Rowdy, even though it is a cute name.

Makes me think of when my son-in-law wanted to name a son Storm (however, they had 2 girls), but they got a dog before the baby was born and my daughter convinced him to name the dog Storm!

Congratulations on the twins and I am looking forward to seeing pictures.

Congrats on the sweet twins. My DD's name is Jill, which is probably what Jillian will be shortened to. I've never heard of Rowdy but I like it. Keep us updated on how they're doing.

I'm back! The babies are doing great.I was wrong about Jillian being on oxygen.It is just air,like the cpap thing.She was having some apnea episodes so they put her on that to help her along. Rowdy has a little intestinal problem but they seem to think it will take care of itself as soon as he has a bowel movement.Otherwise they are both doing great.Can't wait to get them home and get some meat on those little bones!LOL We left there around 6 and mom still hadn't got to see the babies.She was still in recovery,but they said they were moving her to a room later tonight then she could go see them.One of the nurses was so nice.She took pictures and printed them off for DIL and that made her feel better.I didn't take any pictures today because they had lines everywhere and feeding tubes down their throats and you couldn't really tell much about how they look.I'm going to try to post the ones I took last night if I can figure out how to do it.

Ok,I have never done this before so hope it works.These were taken last night so they aren't real good.Jillian had the goop in her eyes and Rowdy was looking like a little old man!LOL They look much different today.DGD has a couple on her camera that she took today and I'll post them when she gets them downloaded tomorrow.

Just posted a few more pictures if anyone is interested.Not very good ones but maybe you can tell a little more about them.Talked to DS earlier and he said they were going to send Rowdy to Lubbock for surgery if he didn't have a bowel movement by 5 this afternoon.He said he had a talk with him and told him he needed to go poopoo or he was going to have to have surgery.Then he went to check on Jillian and when he got back he had pooped! LOL They are doing another x-ray to see if that solved the problem.Haven't heard anything else but I'm praying that it did.I'm sorry if I'm grossing anyone out but I don't know any other way to explain it.LOL

Glad to hear Rowdy has pooped! Sure hope his problem is solved and he won't have to have surgery. Thanks for sharing your pictures. Sending special thoughts for the babies and warm hugs for you and parents.
