My bedroom is a bright lavender. I love it! I also love my kitchen which has poinsetta red walls and white cabinets. My guest room is a very pale yellow and it is a good color. It is my John Deere room and has green and yellow accents. My family room has two chocolate brown walls and two light blue walls. My living room has a burning bush red accent wall and three rose colored walls which I am tired of after less than 3 years. I am going to paint the rose walls a warm cappucino. My bathroom is the only room in my house which has not been repainted since I moved in. The bathroom is white but I plan to paint it a light blue.
Before I bought my home I had rented for many years and I got so tired of neutral colors that I had DS paint for me as soon as I moved in. DS is a house painter by trade.

I painted the house a few years ago, and we have all sorts of colors now. I have the entry, stairwell, living room and dining room in a light butter yellow with white trim. The great room kitchen/family room is white with used brick. The bedrooms all have white trim, but the colors on the walls were painted to match a color in the bedspreads--one room is brown with white trim, one blue, one light green, one white and one in Navajo.

We're in the process of renovating this house, but so far...

The Master Bedroom is "Safari," a sage green with "Butter White" trim.

The Mudroom is "Sawdust," a bright happy yellow. One accent wall is "Spiced Butternut," an even brighter and happier yellow. The trim is "Butter White."

The Sewing room is "Lilac Vapor." It's so pale and dreamy. All the trim in here is "Cotton Balls" white.

The office has a sand colored "Spool" ceiling; the same color covers the top 20 inches of the walls all around the room. Below that, there's a picture rail with deep dark "Picnic Table" red from the picture rail down to the floor, about 65 inches. The trim in here is "Lemon Chiffon," barely off-white.

Along with the picture rail in the office, there's crown molding with fancy corner blocks, 6" tall baseboards, fluted window trim with bulls-eye rosettes in each corner; the doors all have fluted trim with rosette plinths at the base and bulls-eye rosettes at the top. The rooms are a riot of color and trim. They're small rooms done over-the-top with color and trim. I love them.

The living room will probably be "Key Lime Pie," a greyed sage green like I had when living on base.

The kitchen will be either "Lemon Curd," a screaming lemon yellow, or a 1930s green. My money is on the yellow.

The bathroom will be black and white, mostly white, with a small amount of an accent color. The floor will be linoleum in a small tile pattern. It's too cold here for tile, IMHO.

The fixtures will all be white; the vanity will be black with a white counter and undermounted sink. The tub surround will be a white solid surface and the remaining three walls will be a random black and white tile...once I learn how to tile them! LOL

The hallway connecting all these areas (kitchen, LR, office, sewing room and bathroom) may be a soft neutral tan with creamy trim...or maybe not.

I love, love, love color!

Our walls are all white, with the exception of the den, which is an olive color (can't remember the name) and one wall in the master bedroom, which is brown. We normally have a lot of color in our house. We will be here 2 years in September and we just can't seem to think about painting. The previous owners painted everything, including the ceilings, in a gloss paint. Soooooo...everything needs to be primed, before we can paint. That is why we have put it off. We may eventually do Venetian Plaster on some of the walls.

We use the same cream color for ceilings and trim in all rooms. I have a silvery sage color for the bedrooms. I hope to get them painted before 4th of July.

This house was full of 70s wood paneling when we purchased so we couldn't wait to rip that stuff down. Turns out there were layers of wallpaper under the paneling. It took us so long to finally get down to the bare plaster that we lived with no paint for about a year and called it Tuscan!

Front rooms are off-white with brown wood-grain trim and doors, bathroom is putty with white trim, hallway is Cape Cod blue with white and bedrooms are peach with white.

Our downstairs colors are warm, earth tones. The lower half of our dining room (under the chair rail) is red. Our master bathroom is a dark chocolate brown and our master bath is a khaki color. The kids' bath is a buttery yellow. DD's room is violet and DS's room is a sagey-green color. Oldest DS's room is the only room in the house that still has white walls because he didn't want me to paint them. He's a teenager, so the walls really aren't true white anymore! LOL

The most fun we had was changing the exterior color of our house. We went from a light tan to a darker brown with white trim and black shutters and black front door. What a difference! The contrast between the 3 colors looks great!

Dining room has a Chinese red wall, and there is some Chinese red accent in the living room and kitchen.

The majority of my house is a caramel color - it's funny because since we painted, it seems like I see that color in a lot of the sitcoms on tv. Three of the bedrooms are various shades of green, our bedroom is the same caramel as the main part of the house but one wall is an accent wall of brown.

When I see white walls, I see a coloring book that needs some color!

I don't think I've ever had a white room. In all the 35 years I've lived in this house, I've always had colors on the walls.

I use a lot of green--lr and upstairs hall are painted sage green. DR is a light green wallpaper. Sunporch--pale blue; Kitchen--cream, blue, brown wallpaper; Bath--tiles are brown and beige, wallpaper is a mint, blue and pink fleck--with hydrangea shower curtain. Guest room is lemon yellow with pink and blue tulip border and curtains. Other bedroom was lavender, but this morning it became paper-bag brown. Now, the master bedroom? is a coral color with huge palm fronds hanging down from the ceiling (I cut them from a roll of wall paper ) so it looks like a tropical verandah

Now, the new house we'll be buying does have a couple of white rooms--which will be staying white for the time being since they're freshly painted (LR and master Bedroom). Kitchen is lemon yellow (what a typo--I accidentally typed 'lemon jellow' before I corrected it--LOL); bath1--forest green and lemon tiles; bath 2--gray/pink/white tiles; Laundry room--rust and peach tiles and terrazzo floor; bedrooms--one is pale blue, one is mint green. I've already gotten a lot of things lined up for decorating those gorgeous rooms.

Dining, laundry and living room are light sand - a very soothing yellow color that can sometimes take on a gold tone and sometimes green depending on the light. Living room has an accent wall of olive green. Dining room has wallpaper below the chair rail with a palm tree pattern.

Master BR is light green but I want to paint it the same yellow.

the other 2 BRs are a light yellow or possibly dingy "builder white". We haven't painted those rooms but they look ok and we don't spend much time in there.

Hall bath and kitchen are wallpapered in beige diamond pattern. The kitchen has an apricot paint on the wainscotting.

Master bath is wallpapered in a terracotta colored tile pattern. It's about time to change the paper. I still love wallpaper in the bathrooms and kitchen.

Garage is even yellow. I hate white walls.

DD#1 surprise me while I was gone a month ago and completely redid my bedroom, down to a new love seat and chairs and light fixtures. She had it painted a light chocolate brown that I love. She's redone my whole house, b/c she has a paint/design company. 2 of the bathrooms are wallpapered, one bath is a soft cream. The kitchen, entry and dining room are wall paper, the den is a faux finish green, and the office has been sueded. Last week her guys painted the outside--2 shades of cream w/ blue doors. It's nice to have a professional in the family!! Now, if we just had a doc and a lawyer!!!

My kitchen is a sage green called kiwi kissed and the bar is a darker sage. My entry way is a peachy-orange called burnt orange and the living room is a bit lighter called beige brillant. The computer room is puppy paws and looks like chocolate milk. DS's room is blue and DD's room is lavender their bathroom is blue sponge painted. The powder room is blue gray on the bottom called traffic jam and the top is a tan. Our bedroom is tan and one burgandy wall called red red wine the master bath is a pink/mauve called tea time. The toy room has a different color on each wall, green, yellow, blue, orange, purple,and red.

We have always gone with off white, but last year after the kitchen remodel I picked a celery green for the kitchen and haven't stopped. We painted the LR/DR a medium-dark warm sand color. We did the halls a similar color but a lighter version. The only one I don't like is the master bath. The color we picked doesn't look good with the tiles so going to change it to a gray or green based color.

Right now the living areas are off white, but that will soon be changed. Probably a taupe-ey color.
Master bedroom and bathroom are a darkish sage green.
Another bedroom (cat's room) is a light golden color, I love it, took 3 complete paint jobs to get the color I liked.
The office is a dusty purple color.
The guest bedroom is off white, with a chocolate brown accent wall.
The other bathroom is also off white, but that is also in the works to be changed. I'm thinking a cinnamon color.

All the rooms colors have a similar depth and tone to them. Most of the colors are earth-toned, but we do have two rooms with a Federal slate blue. Since the house is small and the walls of some segue into others, I the colors to have the same intensity and depth so as not to look disjointed:

Living room ~ "Beeswax", a beautiful ochre gold
Guest bath ~ "Beeswax", because it's off the living room.
Den and guest rooms ~ "Stormy Blue", a Federal slate blue, reminiscent of a color found in older homes.

Bedroom ~ "Winter Wheat, a medium earth-toned mushroomy color (okay, brown LOL), which leads into the...

I like things orderly, including my flow of colors.
But one wild thing are my kitchen counters, which are a port red. Love, love, love them!

Right now everything is contractor beige but when we build a house I have very specific colors in mind for each of the rooms.

My LR & DR adjoin in an 'L' shape. My walls were painted a medium gold color then a butter yellow sponge effect on the top.

The kitchen has a Waverly wallpaper in a butter yellow with a soft denim blue thin stripe & white pinstripe. My den adjoins the kitchen and those walls have denim blue beadboard on the bottom & the yellow sponged walls on top-seperated by a white chair rail.

Bedroom #1 is done in a sage green with a border on the top of painted lighter sage & sand dollars spaced within the peachy sand color border. Adjoining bath-sage w/Peach accents.

Master bedroom is a dusty mauve on the top and white beadboard bottom..sage & cream accents all over. Victorian theme. Master bath is done in mauve above the countertops with white lattice overlay. Border around the rest of the bath is a scalloped floral with mostly greens & a mauve flower print.My countertops-I made.. using 1500 pieces of stained glass in a mosaic pattern in greens, teal & mauve.
