I shop at QVC but I try to only buy things I cannot find elsewhere. The prices for some things are not too bad, but the shipping often kills the deal for me.

Once in a great while they have free shipping on an item, I think they even have a free shipping day but not on everything. But you have to add in the shipping as part of the price of the item and then consider whether you want it. QVC never looks at it that way--they just promote what a wonderful price this item is (w/o shipping).

Not so interested in Martha. My kitchen is full of "stuff," and there is no room for more even if I wanted it.

What do you like from QVC? Ever go on their boards? It's not as nice as here. People often bash the hosts and even guests, and it can be very unkind.

I am downsizing and not adding any "stuff". My house doesn't have enough storage space.

I have bought some on sale Christmas decorations, a blouse, first time ever I bought clothes from them but I really like it..I bought those lock and lock glass containers which are new and I've used them a LOT.

I live about 20 minutes from the City (OKC) so it saves me on gas and wear and tear of my car.

Last year I bought some Carpet Roses and they are huge!

I generally don't buy anything expensive though.

Back when I had cable, actually when I had cable that had QVC, I enjoyed watching it at times. I bought from them occasionally. Liked having it shipped to me rather than fight the crowds at holiday time and occasionally they had unusual things that I wanted.

As far as the four-time felon goes, I just hope she doesn't have any non-fatal heart attacks. People often bash Walmart, but should look into the stunts the 4TF pulls with employees in her operation.

QVC really got me to consider internet buying. As said though you have to consider the shipping and the tax too. For a while, there was no sales tax on QVC purchases so it could offset some of the shipping but not anymore. Actually, tax as I recall was higher than sales tax here so you need to look at the bottom line. Plus they used to reimburse you return shipping charges if you returned something but not anymore. That potential also needs to be factored in. I bought a toaster for a gift one time. It was one that you just put the bread in and it would lower it in automatically, then slowly raise it up when finished. Couldn't find one anywhere else. Went through two of them and gave up. The return shipping was nearly the cost of the stupid appliance.

I try to stay away from QVC. I spend enough on Amazon, but one thing with Amazon - you get to read how others liked the item. I loved FTF's stuff when K-Mart carried it. I still use her Christmas balls on the tree. Macy's is a longer drive, but I might need to check it out.

Oh I buy frequently from QVC. I detest going to the mall to shop for anything so shopping via the TV is very accomodating.
I always check out the comments made by customers on any product I may be interested in, they are very helpful.And I may add they stopped me on more than one occassion from purchasing a particular item.
Shipping charges are getting out of control now..so I really think twice before ordering.

I like to shop online but not thru TV. Seems like the online companies have those special unusual gifts for my friends and relatives. Never shopped Martha or QVC. I was watching QVC and I saw a car GPS I thought would be nice. But I didn't go for it then.

QVC is fun to watch but I find better deals elsewhere. As for buying anything Martha Stewart NO No way Not in this life time and probably any others I (or she) may come back to.

If you like Le Creuset dutch ovens you can buy Martha's version at Macy's for loads less money. At the moment I think they're half price. I have both Martha's and Le Creuset's and the quality appears the same. Martha's designers even improved on the lid by adding small dimples so that the liquid that condenses drips back into the pot rather than running down the lid and dripping onto the counter or stove.

Kathy, QVC has customer reviews on the page where they show the item for sale. No holds barred reviews, they tell it like it is. lol

I think I like Martha's items because her style is my style.

Often you can find QVC stuff at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and some things even at Walmart. I've found Kathy Van Zeeland purses for much less at TJ Maxx. Carole Hochman pj's, and also Kuhn Rikon knives. Also the plants--we have wonderful nurseries, so why pay shipping for those plants? But I have gotten some things I really like--Candle Impressions battery candles are wonderful and look so real, a clothes hanger rack which collapses and goes under the bed. There is also a brand of crop pants I like. But the best thing is to keep the TV turned to another channel. They can make you think you need things you really don't need.
