Just one...I don't care one way or the other.

We had one in the city we moved from but unfortunately there isn't one here. I used to look forward to them.

We do and the kids love them, however if it passes me while walking my dog, he sits and HOWLS!!! So funny to hear.

they don't come in our condo, but can hear them going into nearby housing developments

I haven't seen one in a while. In the 80's a lot of ice creams trucks started being used as used as fronts for drug sales. I think that might have contributed somewhat to why they are rare these days. We still have a lot of the little ice cream pushcarts in some parts of our city. Most sell Paletas, a Mexican popsicle made of frozen fruit.

Haven't see one, heard one here since I moved here. Guess not?

But, on FreeWheel we had one going through the camp one day. To bad, it was right after we shared a three quart container at Braums. Thus, no buying from him.

I haven't seen any in the near by towns for years. Of course never any in the country. Never had them growing up either in the country.

I lied to my kids when we moved here eons ago. They were infant, toddler and kindergartener aged. The truck came to our neighborhood just as I would be putting them down for a nap. Our previous neighborhood was so out in the sticks that there were no ice cream trucks, so when my kids finally caught on and asked what it was, I explained that it was a truck that played music. That worked for a couple of years till they were older and they learned the truth from the neighborhood kids who had since moved in.

I have never lived in a area that had an ice cream truck. I'd like to see one though some day but probably never will.

We have 3 that come down the street here.One is a truck and the other two are push carts.The truck plays music and is sometimes annoying but the carts only have little bells they ring.The ice cream from the carts is 2 bucks apiece! We buy it once in a while but that's too much to pay in my opinion for a semi frozen cone or sandwich.We have never bought from the truck so I don't know what it costs.

We have one that comes several times a week through our subdivision and one that comes on Friday to our shop. I will stop the truck at home and get a popsicle. Great treat while gardening.
I don't understand why a town would ban ice cream trucks.

Had my kids believing it was the "music box truck" for many years!

We have two in our neighborhood......each truck has really strange songs.
Sometimes I hear Christmas songs, other times show tunes and then other times one truck gets stuck on It's a Small World.
I hate it when they time their runs with meal times. I see way too many kids getting ice cream just before lunch or before dinner.

We usually have one that comes in our neighborhood, but not till later on in the summer. I like the music it plays. It reminds me of when my girls were kids.

We had them when we lived in FL. It was awful- FL is so flat and the sound from the speakers on the trucks would carry for probably a mile, so when you first heard the horrible music, you knew you were going to hear it for a couple of hours as he toodled thru the neighborhoods. It's a Small World. The theme song from The Sting/The Gambler, earworms like you wouldn't believe.

I don't miss them at all. They would run every day, all afternoon long, during the summer and on every weekend, it was very not peaceful. That was 20 years ago and a treat was at least $1. I never saw too many kids stop the truck, but there had to have been enough business for him to keep coming back. Personally, I don't know why parxt name="link" size=45>
