Neighbor friend and I spent the day together, after I went to water aerobics.

Went to The Smokehouse, another restaurant by The Farmers Market.

I had a red snapper filet, boiled okra and baby green limas.

Doesn't compare to Niki's just a block up the road, but was still good.

Gotta cube my cantaloupe that is now ripened and you can smell cantaloupe throughout the condo.

Gonna have it with cottage cheese, and going for second attempt to play Mexican Train with friend. She has cancer and had to cancel last week for our brown bag lunch.

We had an away invitational so it was golf and lunch again today. I'm so pleased with myself because I knew I'd be hot and tired when I got home so last night I made a curried chicken salad for dinner tonight. It was so nice today to know that dinner was already made, and I was right. I'm hot and tired!

Another hot and too-humid day today. It's 29C and the humidex makes it feel like 39C, which is 102. Darn I wish I didn't look that up, now I'm hotter than ever! LOL

I was munching on nachos over the weekend, and I broke a filling, which in turn broke a large chunk out of my tooth! So off I went to the dentist today. I was absolutely dreading it, but he's a sweetie. No pain at all when he froze it, I could feel the pressure of the freezing going in ((shiver)) but the filling, etc was painless.

I was thirsty when I got out to my car and took a drink of water......hah! dribbled all of it down my top and onto my pants.
Hahahaa!

Anyhoo, just pasta with meat sauce tonite. I'm hot and my mouth is tender now that the freezing is gone.

Patti, after your vacation & my surgery we will do a online baking business. I think we will be the best. Years ago I had trouble with my BP & have been on meds with no problems till now. I was 150/92 & am always 120/70. She can't get it down & does not know why. She did say with all the pain I am in that might be the trouble. We shall see.
For dinner hubby had tuna cakes with brown rice & I had a steak with mashed potato
At 4:30 this morning it was already 72 deg.

I had a couple of Arby's roast beef sandwiches in the freezer. I had one of those, along with a bowl of chicken rice soup.

Glenda, thanks for the reminder. It's on one of my many lists along with unplugging the 3 TV's, hot water heater and turning the air up to 82. I hope your friend feels better tomorrow and is able to play. It would cheer her up, I'm sure. Was your snapper smoked? I've never had that but I sure love smoked meats/fish!

Georgysmom, I don't know how you had the energy to make the chicken salad last night, but I know it made your day (and hopefully golf game) better today.

Mary, well, we could pretend about having a bakery, anyway. I'd rather have a shop, though. Shipping could be a pain in the arse. Did your doctor recommend you cut out certain foods or things like salt? Harry's is adamant about not eating processed food or salt. Okay, by me. Wow, just looked outside and the wind is blowing something fierce and the thunder is booming. Yikes!

Shirley, I wish I could have a few Arby's RB sandwiches in my freezer. I do love those with the horseradish sauce. We leave Tuesday morning on our trip. We'll get to Ft. Wayne Thursday afternoon sometime and then I'll get to see my five sisters and one brother and some of their kids and cousins, too. There should be about 50 of us altogether. I just love my family!!! Probably because we don't all live in the same town ;-)

I made a large bowl of macaroni salad today. We had smoked pork chops, corn on the cob and mac salad. Yum!

Angelaid, I'm with you. Tomorrow night is leftovers from the other night. I'm trying not to waste so much food.

Hellion, another macaroni salad lover here. I just don't like mine all that much. Love smoked pork chops, too. But I never think of putting them on the grocery list. I love the combination!

He's got Taco Pizza, Lasagna, Teriyaki chicken, ham and beans, Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad (yes, he eats it all wilty and leftover), tuna salad, chicken pasta salad, watermelon, cukes and onions in vinegar, radishes and God knows what else to choose from. Bet it's all gone for dinner tonight, breakfast and lunch tomorrow, so I cook dinner tomorrow! LOL. (And, he does all the dishes!) Gotta love that man!

had our summer fave...panko coated chicken on ceasar salad..made enough chicken for dh lunch, then he gets a call for a business meeting... so i have lunch for 2 days, lol...

I met with Lindalou this afternoon. She and her husband, Jim, came by for a visit at the motor home. Then we went to the Outback for dinner. Mike and I had prime rib, baked potato, salad and a blooming onion for everyone to share. It was all delicious and I am stuffed.
