I took my boys to the Tulsa zoo last week. I think it is nice for its size. The place is relatively clean. The trash is picked up on a regular basis and so is the poop. They are redoing some of the exhibits. What I have seen so far looks nice. No noticeable cobwebs, but some unique looking people.

Spiderwebs? Only in the spider display! I think that a zoo must be kept clean, which is a constant 24/7 job. If I saw spiderwebs, it would indicate that the place isn't being kept clean. (Even tho I know that spiders toss those pesky webs up in seconds-time and just about anywhere they please.)

The Houston zoo has a new baby elephant.

I think spider webs are appropriate for any place in the zoo....spiders are good creatures and control insects.
It would make me sad to see the webs being swept away just to make a place "look" nice.

"If I saw spiderwebs, it would indicate that the place isn't being kept clean."

So, someone has to go around eliminating cobwebs from plant to plant? From tree to post?

I have spiderwebs popup outside overnight. It is not an indication that things are unclean... it's nature!

Spider webs are an indication of a healthy environment!

I agree with the spiderwebs~

For me the question is where? If the cobwebs were in the food service area I'd be concerned, otherwise I'd wonder what's wrong with the one complaining they saw cobwebs at a zoo! They're nature's bug zappers. And I don't see how any outdoor place can reasonably be kept webfree 24/7. What next, get rid of those dirty bird nests? That woman needs to go back into her plastic bubble.

I just read in our local paper that our Zoo rates in the top 5 in the country. Also we have a private zoo, I guess you would call it. It's called Tanganyika and that is where Jack Hanna gets most of his animals that you see on TV. He comes here every year.

About the spiders, I wish my home was a little less healthy. I was bitten in my bed last night AGAIN, I am hoping it was was not a brown recluse this time. It looks suspiciously like it.

The Milwaukee, WI zoo has an avairy that is a large room taking up most of the building. The birds are free to fly the room. These birds fly and poop. You are advised to wear a hat.
