Going to heat up some homemade chicken noodle soup for lunch. DD has been here with our 2 1/2 year old grandson since Tuesday night while SIL is away on business. So we shopped for birthday party gifts and found a darling Curious George shirt with tan pants for DGS who loves Curious George (for $5 at Ross). Also found a Lightning McQueen red shirt for him with a blinking light under the decal that blinks when he moves even the slightest, got another for his buddy, and then picked up some with Spiderman and Diego for birthday presents. Also got a firetruck one for him. They are a bargain at $5 apiece at Ross too.

very slow day..rain here, too (se mi) called my twins and wished them happy 33 bday...got a call from surgery unit for monday's lumpectomy, then off to wal mart...they were sure busy...had to wait at my fave check out counter (garden center)

i didn't buy any books today...have a book started in every room in the house, lol, and have got to finish them before i buy anymore...the characters are beginning to run together!

i'm making chicken/wild rice soup and grilled cheese for dinner..this crazy weather has me wanting comfort food...

did tend my "farm" on facebook, lol...i'm growing corn....

First day without heavy cloud cover (at least until right now) so I'm trying to clean three window screens.

I cleaned and filled bird baths, topped off the feeders, checked the Tree Swallows' eggs (warm and toasty and being well-incubated!) and took some photos of the back yard.

Measured the three windows that are being replaced (two in the kitchen and one huge picture window in the living room) and made plans to attend some yard sales.

I actually got to drink my morning cup of tea in the front yard and watch the birds frolic.

Well, I made the bed and cleaned the toilets. That's about it. Haven't been sleeping well the last couple of nights. Drives me crazy. I need to weed the bed around one of the crepe myrtles, but it's too darned hot.

Dinner is grilled marinated salmon. Made the marinade with EVOO, brown sugar, sherry, garlic, soy sauce and ginger. We'll have corn on the cob and fried potatoes with it.

I cleaned up the clutter in my kitchen,you know the sunday coupon sections,and the weekly store ads.Had just piled them on the bench at our breakfast nook and finally decided today is the day to go thru,sort and trash.So i did that as soon as i finished breakfast so i wouldn't get side tracked.
Then i washed up the breakfast dishes,made my bed,and here i sit at the computor.Like Patti i havn't been sleeping well the past few dys either,New meds,and trying to get my body used to them.

DH is outside painting our new shed,and i'm feeling slightly guilty that i'm not helping,even though he knows i can't.

I went with DH to the dentist, another town, then we went to Lowe's, got a clematis and some impatiens. Stopped for hotdogs on the way home,in the rain. DS has trimmed all the shrubs by the driveway, he does such neat work.

i havent even gotten dressed yet and its 4:14 ny time lol. ive just been putzing all day, wrote a note to soon to be ex helped my mom since she just got out of the hospital and shes running around like crazy lol. dinner tonite mom made homemade slpit pea soup..i already ate 2 bowls and ill probably sneak up for a 3rd after dark...as long as i dont run into mr bear because hes awful big..he was in the garage the other night which is right next door to my house making lots of noise. gotta love country living! i will probably also take a shower tonight and ride with my dad to the mill with a load of logs early in the am..i dont have my water hooked up yet so its showers at mom and pops lol.

I got up somewhat late this morning (8:30), did a load of laundry,small amount of dishes,started spaghetti sauce, showered,
went to doctor appointment for pre-op, stopped to see DS then I stopped at the grocery store. Finally got home, Michele,
Makayla and Kaden were here waiting for me. I was very excited to see my little ones, I've missed them so much. We
chatted a bit then Michele made everybody a salad while I got the spaghetti noodles started. We ate dinner and cleaned the
kitchen some and all of them just left to go home before rush hour traffice gets bad. I did take a few pics of my 'babies' which I will share later tonight.

Dan the girls and I are at Disney World, enough said. First day here and they are wore out already:)

I had lots of plans for the day, but then it rained on my parade !! Literally !! So, all I did manage to get done is nothing. I was a total bum. I baked a chicken for supper and tossed together a nice salad. Nothing in mind for dessert, but DH has cheesecake in the frij. All I did was wander out to the garden and then just walked on down the road with the dog. It was rather cool and the rain had made it all so clean looking. I have played around on this machine for a good part of the day. Lots of great recipe sites there are and a million of them too.
I didn't even do the dusting and vacuuming that I had intended to do. LOL Oh well, the dirt will be there tomorrow. (unless some magic fairies sneak in during the night).

Oh well, maybe tomorrow will be better.

I had my 2 grandkids over by 10 am this morning. They wore me out by noon. Then the two neighbor hood kiddos came over to play and I invited them to spend the night. Today was my DGD 7th birthday, so we had cake by 11 am today. It has been kids and sugar all day. DH stopped by the store on his way home from work and bought more goodies for the kiddos.
Kids ate dinner here, and the neighbors brought over watermelon for desert.
So I have 3 kids watching Hannah Montana, and DH is crashed in the other living room.
I will be sleeping lightly tonight as the slumber party

I just got back from Kuwait this morning...I had a wonderful 52 hours with my niece and her husband and saw the beautiful but VERY HOT country! (115 degrees)
