Three things that touched my heart this weekend....

On Fri and Sat had a yard sale to help with the fundraising for our son going to Disneyland.

I had a navigator for scrapbook paper that I haven't used in a long time and it was for sale, and I sold it really cheap.... cost me $125, and I sold it for $10 (the kind that pops up and looks like shelving for your papers....) Anyhow, our neighbor lady two houses down came and she bought it. She also donated $5 to Amanda's bake sale at work, and she then donated $10 for a bunko fund raiser we are having even though she won't be here. I was so touched. She hugged me and we both CRIED AND CRIED for Tay.

The next. We had a dresser for sale. A sister in law of our neighbor's directly next door was debating to get it or not. They were going to an auction and she might find one there. She ended up getting one at the auction but came back that night, and donated $20 to the cause. I was so touched. We were only asking $30 for it.

And, yet another story. A man came on Friday and bought something small and heard my daughter talking that she was raising the money to take her brother with autism to disneyland. With that, the following day, the man came back and asked if this was the right sale for the boy wanting to go to Disneyland. We said yes, and he gave us a pennant he had on his wall for 25 years that says Disneyland and has Mickey Mouse marchin on it. It touched my heart too. I ran up stairs, bawling of course, and hung it in my son's room. I hate going into his room as it is a reminder he isn't with me, but I had to.
