Thanks guys... It really was good. Cathy, I imagine that is an adopted Pyrex bowl because before some cooking philanthropist gave it to me a few weeks ago, I was mixing everything in the Kitchen Aid bowl :o) Even the tool that I used the flip the ham came from you... years ago you gave me that Kuhn Rikon flipper thingy at the Florida get together and I use it all the time... Annie, they are great bowls... I got 4 with lids in various sizes and one of them is pretty big. Putting ham in the waffles is a great suggestion. I think sausage would be a nice addition too for regular breakfast waffles, but maybe not eggs benedict.

Well those dissapeared fast! Westsider - yes.. A gagg induction that covered up with paper towels before frying to make the cleanup easy. lpink - for the coconut semolina bars, I used the coarse semolina. Not the flour. As it is almost candy like, it is easier to mix in coarsely grated coconut and coarse semolina without clumping. It is great to actually watch a tutor. I think with ethnic recipes like Italian or Indian, there is a lot of techniques that cannot be verbally described. You have to see it and touch it to really get the nuances.

Here it is, Localeater: Cauliflower Herb Bread Makes one 8" x 8" pan of bread Bake Time: 45-50 minutes Ingredients: 1 bag frozen mashed cauliflower (approx. 1 pound) 6 large eggs, separated 1 1/2 cups almond flour (not almond meal) 1/4 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese (not the powdered in the shaker can) 5 cloves garlic, minced (it's seriously not too much) 1 TBS baking powder (aluminum-free, if you have it) 5 TBS Smart Balance butter substitute ( or butter, or other butter substitute, your choice), melted pinch of salt 2 TBS Italian dried mixed herbs, divided 2-3 teaspoons white sesame seeds Directions: Preheat oven to 350-degrees Cook mashed cauliflower according to package directions (I cook it in my microwave); cool until easy to handle; squeeze liquid out of it, using a thin cotton dish towel, cotton napkin, or nut milk bag). Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, stir together until combined, the egg yolks, almond flour, Parmesan, minced garlic, baking powder, melted Smart Balance and pinch of salt. Stir in cauliflower and (only) 1 TBS of the Italian herbs. In a separate bowl, preferably chilled, whip egg whites until soft peaks form. Gently fold into batter until just combined. Spoon batter into ungreased baking pan, smoothing top. Sprinkle with the reserved last tablespoon of Italian herbs and the white sesame seeds. Bake in 350-degree oven for 45-50 minutes. I would check after 35-40 minutes, as my home is at 6,000 feet above sea level, and baking times at lower levels may differ. *Delicious warm or at room temp. Store in your refrigerator for several days, covered. Freezes well. **Edited to add that this bread does NOT taste like cauliflower. I have always hated cauliflower (and Brussels sprouts-ugh!), and although I now use it in recipes mashed or riced, that recipe can never actually taste like cauliflower (LOL)!

Easy for me to answer this question. With few and rare occasions, I really don't like sweet things, with the exception of fresh fruit.

I'll make desserts or other sweet treats when I have company, but that's it. Even then, I might not eat those items.

Savory to all the above. Savory, or creamy dairy always first choices, sweets have never really interested me. It's nothing to do with discipline, just my taste buds. I make desserts for guests and sometimes DH, am the family holiday pie baker, but just a taste of something is usually more than I want.

People see a 1/4 slice of pumpkin pie or spoonful of rhubarb crisp on my plate and think I'm being good. I'm not, I'm indifferent. I don't dislike desserts, I just don't crave them enough to overeat.
