Hi Lydia - thanks for asking! Things are looking up, as my fever as of this morning was gone for the first time. I sweated buckets during the night, and went through three t-shirts. I still feel very weak and lightheaded, which I guess is to be expected. I just washed some dishes and put some laundry in the washer, but am restraining myself from doing anything further. It's amazing how things go to pot so quickly when you're sick . . . the lawn . . . the weeds . .. . my house! .. . but overdoing would be a mistake.

Yes, the opening reception is on Saturday. I was afraid I'd be too sick to attend, but if things keep progressing I think I'll be fine. At the moment, though, I sure don't feel up to making any foods to bring, or even figuring out how much wine I have. I have friends who are standing by to help if necessary, though. Thank heavens for that.

We hung the show Thursday and Friday. It was a lot of work (42 pieces!), but it looks great. My house, however, does not. I was still framing up till Friday morning, and the place looks more like a frame shop than a home. I figured I'd clean everything up as soon as the show was hung, but then I got sick. Oh, well, at least there are no plans to come back here after the reception.

Anyway, I appreciate your concern, and now I'm going back to bed. :-)

Yes, rest is the best thing for you at this point! The heck with the house, though I know it can drive you crazy looking around at all that needs to be done. You've got your priorities straight and I'll bet you'll be feeling tons better by the end of the week. Enjoy your show! (Wish I could go as I sure do admire your photos.)

I'm glad you are feeling better. Be sure to drink lots of fluids. Since you are light headed, I am sure you are dehydrated.

Thanks, everyone, and thanks for the reminder, Tami. I don't seem to have as much of a thirst as I should (probably my age showing), so I have to push myself to drink. I just filled a larger plastic water bottle with lemon water, and will put that on my nightstand.

I've been watching "Golden Girls" on DVD. I added "The Closer" today because my mind seems to be functioning a little better than it did yesterday. Love those Golden Girls, though.
