Has anyone tried the AquaGlobe that is advertised on TV?

I watched a news station video that said it was very good, so I'm tempted to buy a set. Just wondering if anyone here has a review. Thanks!

I have them....don't waste your money!!!!! I bought enough for all my houseplants! "/

First....they are a PAIN to fill!! I was having to fill them weekly...I could just water the plants weekly!!....and it is MUCH easier!

I sure wouldn't recommend them!

I haven't tried them and won't after what Sandy just wrote, but they sure look pretty.

Well, I got my answer...I found this link on the container forum today and one of the members posted that she purchased this product and she said it was "very thin and brittle and basically didn't work very well. I got the aqua rug at Bed Bath and Beyond. I love this thing. First of all, it doesn't slip around. Second, it does make cleaning the bottoms of your feet super simple. No bending. No effort. Just rub your foot back and forth. And lastly, which is a benefit I hadn't considered until I realized, it prevents hair from going down the drain. It just sort of runs up to the edge of the mat and doesn't run underneath. A quick wipe with some paper and toss. You also don't have to pick the mat up so that it can dry underneath. The water goes through and doesn't pool. It's a simple little thing and it works.

If anybody gives that new Hurricane spin mop a try, post back as to how it worked for you (or didn't!). There has been an infomercial on it recently. I dislike probably ever mop I've bought -- the string mop, the mop that has strips of a felt-like microfiber (like the Wonder Mop, like Libman makes), the sponge mop (I can never get the replacement sponges in easily). I don't use Swiffers anymore, but I do use a Libman Freedom Soft Mop, with the cloths you pull off the mop head and toss into the washing machine. I just wanted to chime on- I bought the Star Shower for our FL house after reading about it on here. I think it looks pretty good. I don't have the patience to decorating by hanging lights, so this is better than nothing for me :) This is one star shower machine, the As-Seen-On-TV type. I probably could use a second over on the other side by the dark window to make it look more impressive but they seem to be sold out everywhere in the world...

This just came up on the FL Gardening forum last week. HSN sells them but the customer reviews were not s great. It sounds like people don't follow the instructions of thoroughly watering their plants before inserting the globe into the soil after making a hole with a pencil or chopstick. I love the look of them, but I think I'll save my money. I attached a link to the web site so you can read the revews.

I was looking for some place online to warn people about these things. They are nothing more than garden ornaments. At first, I couldn't get the water to come out at all, and my plants were drying up. Then, I messed with them a bit, repositioned them, made sure they weren't clogged...and now the water won't STOP coming out. Then, I thought maybe I had let my plants get too dry, so I watered them thoroughly, but no....having them in wet soil only makes the water come out FASTER. I had hoped to use them for watering over a long weekend, but they won't even take care of my plants for a day. I wasted a lot of money because I bought them for all my patio pots. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
