Post your commercial pull-out faucets :)

If you dont mind.

I am looking for a good sleek contemporary commercial faucet w/pull-out that doesnt cost an arm and a leg. I like dornbracht and rohl, but theyre close to $1000 each. I was also looking at whitehaus metrohaus, but cant find any reviews on it. Others include the bianco meridian series. Thanks for any help!!

This isn't exactly what you asked for because "Sleek and Contemporary" mine is not -- there's no question that it is in-you-face and huge and I _LOVE_ it -- so does my husband and the kids. I highly recommend KWC -- all metal, hefty and this thing has a "water hammer" that blasts the food off. The spring is huge and bouncy and it effortlessly moves to the remotest parts of a big sink. Since installing it I have fallen in love with it. When contemplating whether to really install it or not I was angst-ridden but took a leap of faith and so glad I did. I initially ordered a shorter/sleeker one (Blanco?) from overstock and was not impressed, so I returned it and went with this hefty all metal KWC. It's been a year and the thing has been wonderful, hands down my favorite thing in the kitchen, though just as ugly as ever. I don't care about that (anymore) -- this bad boy fills a bucket up on the counter in no time flat, makes quick work of washing a wiggly puppy, and works great for washing hair (my hairdresser makes housecalls), and the puppy, and anything. This is to all to say consider a hefty KWC -- if you search the net there are a couple of their semi-professionals' (mine is the KWC Disko, island mount which means no bracket needed) by them that are in the mid $500 range and well worth every penny.

thanks! Nice faucet! Your kitchen looks beautiful, btw. The blanco you returned sounds like the same one I am contemplating. This is the second person not happy with it. Maybe I will reconsider....

I just made my choice of faucets. I am going to go with the Grohe pull down for 2 reasons: Pull down vs pull out: since I purchased this house recently, the pull-out faucet has constantly loosened and water has been leaking all over the sink under-cabinet! But as I had planned on doing a complete remodel (watch out cabinets, took me 2 hrs with a good hammer and built-in frustration to gut everything out!) On top of that, the pull-out ball front of the faucet kept hitting my tall pans and frustrating me even more! And forget trying to clean the sink all the way around! So a pull-down was an easy decision (got to be a nice improvement to the old pull-out!) 2. I chose Grohe after reading the hundreds of blogs on this incredible website and because Grohe is a german company who has been making incredibly strong and dependable faucets for so long! Check out their groheamerica website (http://www.groheamerica.com/t/25_4021.html) one of these days, you will be impressed with the number of medals they have won! Now I have to decide which Grohe: Ladylux or Bridgeford. Irawoods.com has them starting at $312 with free shipping and taxes and I know I am going to find it even cheaper on other internet sites.

Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in here---As a plumber, I've noticed that both Moen and Delta are going to the nylon hose. Is it better? They haven't been around long enough to determine that. Only time will tell... The pull out seems to be more popular than the pull down, mainly I think because the pull out faucets are cheaper that the pull down. However, the prices are coming down on the pull downs...Moen just came out with a new model, the Arbor, that is priced comparable to the pull outs. I personally like the looks of the pull downs better.--The Captain

Pull out / pull down faucet (90 degrees) with metal buttons?

Has anyone come across a pull out/down, close-to-90-degree faucet with the buttons activating the spray being made of metal (as opposed to soft plastic or hard plastic)? Sort of like this one by Moen, but with metal buttons instead of the super distracting plastic ones? This remodel has taught me that I am far pickier about things than I thought I was.
