Anyone have a 'honey/ caramel onyx glass stone blend' backsplash?

Has anyone installed the"honey caramel onyx glass stone" mosaic tile that Home Depot is carrying, by any chance? I thought this tile might work well with my granite and cabinets and even bought a sheet to use as a sample. I would love to see it on an entire backsplash though, if any of you have used it and would like to share some photos of how it turned out. Also--did you install it yourself and how did it go? And if any of you have any other type of honey or caramel onyx blended with glass mosaics I'd love to see them as well.

Here is a link to a good photo of the tile on MSI's website (Home Depot's supplier for the item). It shows it grouted, and the tiles look darker there than they do ungrouted.

Hoping to see some photos of backsplashes with a blend of honey and/or caramel onyx and glass mosiac tile. Even if it is not the one from Home Depot--I'd love to see other examples, too. Thanks so much.

Thanks,Mountainme. That is very pretty slate- is it your kitchen? Do you know the name of it? I never knew slate could be so gorgeous or that it came in so many color combinations until lately. I'm going to try and post a photo of the slate I found and my granite coutnertops. The slate seems to look busier in the photo and my granite less busy than in real life. Go figure! My cabinets aren't that orange in real life, either! I'll post sort of an overview of the kitchen so you can see how different the granite looks from a distance- it looks more white or off-white and gray. You can't see the golden veins much at all when you step back. This is what is part of what is driving me crazy trying to find a backsplash to go with it.

LRy511, I was thinking about sealing it, also, I definitely will if we go this route. Your backsplash and tiles are beautiful; we were going to use subway tiles, too, but our backsplash is only 12.5" inches high, due to the 4" counter backsplash, so we thought that smaller tiles would be better. pipdog, is your onyx the main component of the backsplash? How big were the pieces that broke?

nasalzak, The tiles you have should be mesh backed. You can "peel" individual tiles off and replace them with tiles of the same size. This can be done while still doing the install as a 12x12 sheet. I believe jodi in ca did this with her Jeffrey Court Fire and Ice backsplash. She took off some darker ones and added lighter glass tiles to brighten it up. Make sure the little tiles are the same size (they often say they are 1x1 but are actually 5/8 x5/8) and the same thickness (1/4 or 1/8). If you then wanted to get really creative you could insert/sprinkle some red glass in the copper, create a 3" or so wide strip of border, and continue with the copper above that. You wouldn't need that much redish glass tile depending on how much backsplash space you have. HOpe that helps a little.

I used the Sonoma Tantrum Rhomboid with an Estate Metal Valence liner and limestone 12x12's on the wall of our powder room. The powder room is only 1/2 completed, but I get lots of compliments on the tile. I installed it and it was a breeze. I'm thankful I get it wholesale, otherwise I could never afford it. Sorry about the cruddy photo quality. LOVE Sonoma Tilemakers!

We just finished ours these are the photos without the grout on top it look more golden once we put the bone grout it will have a grayish tone. I will post pictures if I can!

We have a rough textured honey onyx in our master bath BS, which I love, but not sure I would want it in a kitchen because I think it would be very difficult to clean splatters off the rough, uneven texture. Not sure if the one from HD is rough or not, but if you like the look, try to get something that is smooth and more even.
