I bought a Whitehaus fireclay sink from Bluebath.com (an ebay storefront, if you search Whitehaus on ebay you'll find it). It is 35" wide outside dimensions with an 8" bowl (I have the garburetor on this side) and a 24" bowl. I paid under $600 for it. I love it, but must say I have had it installed less than a week. Well after I bought it I read of some instances (one or two) on GW of people who had problems with cracking in Whitehaus sinks, perhaps due to thermal shock. I haven't experienced that, and I have an insta-hot on this sink which pours near boiling water on to it. Let's hope I never do. Prior to buying the sink, I had read a lot of rave reviews here for it. Blue Bath was fast and courteous and (at the time I ordered at least, last summer) had a 100% feedback rating on ebay. I can fit my largest pans fully in the large bowl, and with my gooseneck faucet, I can put my kitchen trash bin in upright to rinse it out. Fabulous. Also, in the past few days I have not been precious with using it, and notice no dings or scratches (so far). Also, FWIW, I went with fireclay not just for its looks but in part b/c my friends in New Orleans who had fireclay sinks in their homes there had their fireclay sinks survive Katrina even when the rest of their kitchens/homes had to be gutted.

Thank you all so much! I don't know what the heck to do. As I said, my cabinet base has been cut for this sink. My cabs are Decora...cream with a rust glaze. It is interesting that this sink WAS a floor model from my local plumbing supply. I ordered a sink back in Feb., and the lady at the store said no problem getting one even after I had mentioned the backlog problem to her. Well, sure nuff, three weeks later when my sink had not come in, she called the distributor and found out about the backlog. That's when she said I could have the floor model...so I jumped at it. I'm assuming now the hold up in the 30 inchers is over. Is that right? Anyone know anymore about why there was a problem in getting the sinks to begin with? I think I heard is was a problem with the mold. Any info on that would be appreciated. I could call the store tomorrow and see if they have gotten another sink in...or see how long to get another one. But, my cabinet has been cut for THIS sucker and I can just imagine how off it might be with another one. And whose to say a new sink would drain any better. I think it's just the luck of the draw. And sadly, we were going to the granite fabricator tomorrow to see the templates on the stone. He said he would be ready to install on Wednesday. We were finally gettin this granite show rolling. Now this. But, ya know, I do like the look of this big, fat, round baby in my kitchen. I just don't think I would like to start all over and go with a "non" farmhouse sink. I've even considered that idea. Somebody slap me up side the head and tell me what to do! Isn't it amazing what weenies we can turn into with this kitchen cr*p! TIA.

I'm using the Moen Level faucet. It is nstalled at the center of my sink and reaches the offset drain just fine. I realize this faucet is totally different from your desired faucet but I just posted to show you that a faucet with a different shape can reach the drain just fine. I am in the same camp as @Chris Hunter because I don't know how I could operate with only one large bowl. I think there are several problems with these oft repeated blanket statements that a single large bowl is always better than a double bowl. 1. There are other options than everyone's stereotype of an equally divided double bowl with small sinks on both sides. There are 60/40 or 70/30 sinks. 2. There is the option of getting a low divide. 3. Not everyone has the luxury of having an additional prep sink. Everyone always discusses nothing more than how to wash and where to dry. This is not the only use for a sink. How does one accomplish soaking a dirty pot, draining a pot of pasta, having some water to wipe down a stovetop, washing grimy produce, rinsing fish filets, and washing hands all at the same time with only a one bowl sink and one drain?
