New kitchen remodel completed

I just completed a remodel of a 1970s kitchen. We had to keep the same footprint for structural and financial reasons. We have new cabinets, countertops, flooring, and backsplashes. We also repainted, and added some trim detail. I am still not certain about how to upload pictures here, I need to study this more, but in the meantime here is a link with some pictures.

Here is all the items GE JSP46SP-SS slide in stove, Kitchenaid 24.5 Counter Depth Fridge, Kitchenaid 2.0 Microwave, Elkay Lustertone Sink ELUH322110L it lists for $925 got it New on eBay for $250( guy bought it for his remodel and changed his mind),Kohler K-597 Simplice Faucet,Elkay SS Sink Grid, Moen 3942SL Soap Dispenser. I love the sink and 2 work well for me, I am planning on removing the ugly popcorn by next month.

Is this a cold money decision? Or are there other factors that come into play? Money will say new will win. Money being only one factor will have tossup results. Do you love the land, and the house is just a convenience in that it’s already built? If you had your choice of building site, would that be it? Or is there a better location with a better view or road access or more screening from neighbors? Do you love the house? Do you care if it cists you double to have it remodeled rather than building new? Are you a purist who would want to do more restoration than remuddle?

It looks great and so warm and inviting.

Could you tell me what size your top glass cabinet doors are and what the interior height is in that space? I really like what you did there and I'm looking to retro-fit something into the open space I currently have. Yours look to be about the same size so I would appreciate that info a lot.

Hi all and thanks for the kind comments. Lyfia The doors are each 8 1/2 inches high. THe center doors each are 17" wide, and the flanking doors are each 16" wide. The interior height is 8 1/8 inches for the flanking cabinets and 8 3/4" for the center cabinets. The interiors do have "ceilings" rather than opening to the kitchen ceiling. I had alot of crystal, much inherited from my parents, that I occasionally use but not on a daily basis, so these cabinets were a way to store the crystal so that it would be visible. To soften the effect I lined the back of all cabinets with yellow dupioni silk over foamboard. The lights are low voltage xenon--I tried to use LED but could not find any that could be used with concealed wiring running in the closed space between the cabinet and the ceiling. This was possible with the low voltage xenons, which are on dimmers and are switched separately from the general and the task lighting. claudesw - thank you for sharing and it sound like you did what I was considering - using the ceiling and wall and add just a frame on the front for the doors. Thank you so much for the information and the close ups. Great inspiration and you did a great job on the whole kitchen.
