Those with 27' deep 'Pro Style' Ranges, how deep are your cabs?
Comments (7)My cabinets are 24" deep. With a 3/4" overhang, my counters are almost 25" deep. The front edge of the top of my Wolf DF projects 28" from the wall. Standing a bit "proud" of the cabinets is a good look for a pro-style range, in my opinion. The range still looks very much part of and integrated into the run of cabinets....See MoreHow deep are your open shelves?
Comments (4)Mine are 10 1/4". I measured our plates and based it on that. (We use small plates...you know, portion control, or so we hope.) These have been working well for us so far (just a few weeks.) I have an area for plates/bowls, one for glasses (these are on either side of a window) and then more shelves in the baking area. Sorry pics are so huge. This first picture really makes me realize how much kitchen real estate I've devoted to tea. by the sink:...See MoreShow me your open shelves (not staged)
Comments (34)I agree with those above who have said that there is a place for everything on our shelves. My shelves stay cleaner and more organized than my old cabinets ever did in our old house. And, my husband and four children put things exactly where they go overtime without any nagging from me! This photo was taken this morning before I've emptied the dishwasher or cleaned up after my kids and husband left for the day. We use all of the items on the bottom shelf everyday. The items on the upper two shelves do get used but less frequently. This is shelf is where we keep our glasses and cups, although there are more cups (those that aren't very pretty) in the drawer below this cabinet. These are all used on a daily basis as are the creamers on the top shelf. I know you didn't ask for plate racks, but I find that this is really useful as well. We've been in this house for almost a year and I'm so glad I went with open shelving and the plate rack. I'm not sure I would ever go back to having upper cabinets or lower for that matter, I also love my drawers!...See MoreBathroom open shelves- how to decorate
Comments (10)We have this situation in our recent remodel bc there was a weird space in the wall (AC return, other stuff we didn't want to re-route) that forced us to have some wasted space behind the vanity. We could have just closed it up with drywall, but instead we decided to put some shelves in there. We still have some empty shelves, but this is what we have done so far: candles and bath products. For the remaining shelves, probably we will put a framed photograph, a nice piece of coral or large shell, or some pretty pottery. Below we don't have an open space like you do; it is a cabinet door. If you don't already have a good spot for a hamper, that might be a good place for one. If you already have a place for a hamper, you could put a smaller "dry-clean" hamper there for things you want to separate to take to the dry cleaners....See MoreUser
