One of the guy's in the Appliances forum awhile back had an espresso machine on top of an upper cabinet and I asked him about that too (he wasn't using it, so just stuck it up there, and there aren't earthquakes where he lives). That mixer sure beats anything. In the corner over the counter yet. BIG teamster.

I love it! It sure does look nice with all the other white things though. By the looks of what's on the counter, they only "cook" toast and coffee in that kitchen.

Exactly. The bowls on the uppermost shelf must make collecting dust easier, lol....

I guess when you suffer a few concussions from trying to take down your mixer, toast and coffee look pretty tasty, lol.

I meant to post it here for the shelves, too. Impossible to get to. And when you saw the whole place, there was little storage elsewhere. Fabric curtain under the sink, no uppers. Did anyone else see this other photo? Now im wondering.

I noticed that right away when I was flipping through the mag last week. I had the same reaction as you did--obviously nobody is using that mixer any time soon!

Wow, I have a hard enough time wrestling my KA from the counter to a shelf on a lower cabinet ... it takes both hands which means if I was climbing a flipping LADDER to put it away then I'd wind up on the floor in no time (probably with 4 ribs broken by the KA falling on me).

I have a tough enough time lifting mine from the back of the corner where it sits! Maybe someone should invent wheels for these things. Unfortunately I don't have the space for the lift. :(

Dianalo, interesting! BTW have you posted a picture of your kitchen? I have followed your posts but have not seen a finished kitchen pix.

The kitchen looks nice in white with the open shelves but is not practical to use a ladder every time you need to use one of the small appliances on the top shelves.
