How about putting your wall ovens in the corner? See Alku05's kitchen (do a search, I don't know if she's in the FKB)

Is this what you are looking for? I have a wall that is diagonal instead of a corner.

We're not DONE yet, so our kitchen's not yet in the FKB. But we are close...

I'm not sure exactly what type of diagonal situation you're looking for, but our kitchen has a number of odd angles, including a corner oven, and a 6' run that is on the diagonal. The small addition we put on to enlarge the kitchen went onto the front of the house. Making that one stretch diagonal made the exterior of the house look right, with the added benefit that the window there points southwest, so we can see the sun set into the ocean.

For our diagonal wall, the only picture I have is from when the cabinets first went in. I've been trying to remember to take a new picture, but I need to think of it on a cloudy day (the large window makes it hard).

For the diagonal cabinets, you'll need fillers in the corners to make sure the drawers and cabinets will open. In general, doing a diagonal corner isn't really space efficient. For example, our 33" oven cabinet takes up 48" of wall on both sides of the corner.

We really like this better than a right angle corner that we had in the previous house. The top cabinet has a lazy susan with 3 shelves. The bottom cabinet has a large susan.

The best part (according to my husband) is that we have the nice deep corner with plenty of counterspace in front of his Jura Capresso! :-)

Sorry Alku, your kitchen looks so good that I thought you were done!

Sharb has a 48" Viking range along her diagonal wall. She's in the FKB.

Alku - you were the inspiration for this corner of the plan, in which my 27" Advantium will be on the diag at counter height in a tall cab with drawers below and storage above. Thank you! It solved my problem. One more bonus of reading this forum.

Pretty much anything that people have done w/a corner can be done on a diagonal wall. With a few exceptions, the cabinets used are flat in the back and there's empty space behind them. The difference is that you won't have the empty space.

Julie7549 above, is using the full corner for at least the top, open portion. You would have a flat back wall, no corner, in this case.

Buehl, no worries, we were supposed to be done a year ago this month, so it makes sense that we should be done by now. But alas, there's still about 10 things left on the punchlist.

Raynag, glad I could help! I love the look of the speed ovens at counterheight with drawers under them. That has got to be the best height for practicality too.

Goldengirl71, can you tell me the width of the diagonal wall and the dimentions of the lower and upper cabinets you have there? This is approximately what I had in mind as an alternative to the wall oven there.

Yes, that picture is very similar to our ovens! The only real difference (besides the lack of pretty trim stuff) is that we kept the deep corners vs blocking them with a panel like in the picture.

Hi Anna.
They won't start work till next month, but here is my current layout, followed by the layout for the new kitchen with the 2nd oven on the angle - counter height, at the right end of the run. The Advantium will have drawers below it and a cabinet above it, half for trays and the other half, one shelf. It was the only way we could have 2 ovens and an island. The corner oven is a 27" Advantium 120 (all i had room for - and the only way I could have two ovens and and island, too. The wall next to the advantium has the washer and dryer on the other side and can't be removed.
We will have a round kitchen table in the lower left of the dining area, away from where the sliding glass door opens.
But there will be room for a couple of stools for perching at the circular end of the 25" wide, 81" long island.

In the future kitchen, at the bottom of the schematic is a 12" deep by 87" long pantry with a bookcase in the center for my cookbooks. Gleydin is the only designer who walked into this kitchen and said I could have an island. I've cleaned up the schematic for simplification. Now, if my contractor would only finish his current job and get started...

Thanks Rayna, it does look great. Your kitchen looks very nice. I've been following your threads, just not able to post that much. I've been looking at the Miele speed oven as a possibility for either the same kind of setup or above the regular oven.

I've never been tempted by the corner oven.

That's because, w/ my short arms, I sometimes stand BESIDE my open oven door in order to reach in to my oven.

I don't feel safe being forced to reach OVER my oven door. For one thing, I don't have good leverage to lift or hold anything heavy, like a turkey.

Of course, I have a range; maybe wall ovens have doors that fold flat against the wall below them.

But I will admit, I've never used one.

Talley Sue raises an important point that we also considered. However, neither of us could think of a single time that we stood next to an oven to get something out of it, so that was a non-issue for us. But it would be a big issue if one did like to stand beside the oven to lift items out.

I am looking for brands that make corner double oven cabinets for a project in Architecture. Anybody know of any?? I can find regular cabinets but not corner ones. Thanks!
