Hi Mabel--Cute bathroom! We have a slide bar as well and love it. Function as well as form were very important to us as we had a bad experience in our previous home with the handshower falling out of the holder and whacking us on the head, shoulders and back when you least expected it. Our shower is also an open one with no glass or curtains, so form was also important to us. We ended up choosing the Delta Addison slide bar. It has a sturdy yet easy to use lever to slide the handshower up & down, another to loosen the ball joint the holder sits on to change the handshower angle. The actual piece that holds the handshower in place is also very sturdy and the handshower base slides into place very securely. We have not had any issues in the 14 months we've been in the house. Most if not all the Delta slide bars we looked at had the same mechanisms on them. You can also choose a slide bar from one collection and use it with a handshower from another collection (we have Lockwood for the handshower and Addison for the slide bar). Hope this helps! Mustangs, I tip my hat to you! My candied jalapenos are super hot, too -- my Master Gardening course instructor gave me 3 huge bags of jalapenos, and I don't know what she does but those babies are inferno-like. They were so hot I only froze a few for cooking and made the rest into cowboy candy. I like spicy but I need a little something else to cool the burn, even though they are tasty! It is strange because we each grow the same variety of jalapeno, but it really demonstrates how soil and garden conditions can impact the flavor. My jalapenos are flavorful and somewhat spicy, but hers sure set your tongue aflame.

Look at the PDF or call, about the handle turn on the Delta Ashton it that is the One you want. The handle turn is a permanent feature of the faucet, not an option. At rest, in photos, they always show the handle pointing up. This doesn't tell you if it turns half back / half front (45 degrees each way), or if it turns only down in front a full 90 degrees. You have to look for this information in the technical data. Then, once you have this information, you will know what it will look like if the handle is positioned in front of the faucet. Personally, I don't care if the handle turns only 45 degrees this way and 45 degrees the other way or if it will turn 90 degrees in one direction only. But, they seem to think it matters a lot, so they might write something to say that it is for right-hand installation only when actually it COULD be installed in front and the only consequence is that the temperature turn goes in one direction only. -- but, (good to know in all cases), your hand and arm simply don't end up underneath the water stream because you do not approach your faucet head-on like someone wielding a fencing sword, with the forward arm centered on the axis of approach. Each of your two arms are many inches away from the center line. Reach for the faucet and your arm is not underneath the stream of water. Also, the handle in front is not near the stream; it's a few inches away. In addition to these physical aspects, keep in mind also that a body can get used to anything except a pebble in your shoe. So..... you simply don't end up placing your arm in harm's way, no matter how complicated your angle of approach will be, from the side, or (if an island faucet) from a more obtuse angle. Clearer?

I don't know, I think people can be into math and numbers and also into words and reading and also into design and art. One can be an athlete as well as any of the above. I guess the questions try to put people in one camp or the other, but most people don't fit fully on either side, unless they have extreme personalities. I'd hate to be so predictable as to stick with one label. I pay attention to a lot of different areas, but also know I have a lot of blind spots. I can't fix a car, never got the complexities of chess and and not good at any games with ball throwing or worse, being thrown at. Ask me about world events and I do pretty well. Ask me about pro basketball/hockey/soccer/tennis and I am lost. Challenge me to a game of cards (canasta, pinochle or spades) and I will kick booty. No once can be great at everything, but one can be interested in a bunch of things. As much as I like numbers and have a talent for doing math in my head, I don't think of myself as a numbers person, per se. I can be analytical and I can also be emotional. Some decisions are driven by one and some the other. Hopefully, most include both areas. In any case, I like quirky and unexpected with design, so you won't see my kitchen in anyone else's house. I may have copied bits and pieces, but the total will be our own design (for better or worse, lol). Most of the design is from my imagination, but dh has had some input too and so it is a collaboration overall. I think our kitchen reflects our sensibilities a bit, so it can be a clue to our personalities in a way. I bet a profiler could deduce a lot from how people design their kitchens. Math has nothing to do with it....
