Should We reuse old Pantry in new Pantry?

We took out an accordian style built in pantry when we added on to the house. First plans included a small walk in pantry lined with narrow shelves.

Since things have evolved, and the pantry is now a large room, including base cabinets around most of the perimeter, I'm wondering if using the old one would be a good option.

When we added the mudroom/laundry, I had DH install it there with the intention of it housing cleaning products. Well, turns out that is not working out as I expected. The four doors have narrow shelves that don't adjust. Most ALL of the things don't fit! They are too tall, too wide, or both.

So, I could put it in the new pantry and go back to storing canned goods.

What do y'all think? Good idea? Bad idea?

Your thoughts and ideas are appreciated!
