Just to let everyone know, the link for this post has changed: I think you only need to use one plug at the outlet end. You can connect up several light fixtures one-to-the-other in a straight line using the direct connector that comes with each light fixture. If you have to angle to a corner cab, or insert lights into a cavity, you can still connect the lights to each other using their flexible connector. Adding a light valance would probably be the best option and it is easy to do. In your case, with natural maple cabs, you don't have to worry about matching a complicated finish. You could buy some maple stock ripped to the appropriate dimension, sand & clear finish and attach to the bottom of the cabs w/ screws, countersunk. I paint the undersides of upper cabs gloss/semi gloss white for maximum light reflection...I'd use white fixtures. Another option to consider is painting the fixtures to your choice of color...Look into the Fusion paints. My son has been using Fusion on the plastic interior parts of his pickup. We also got the Juno under cabinet lighting but we bought it at Home Depot. It has a built in diffuser so it doesn't show dots. As jerzeegirl mentioned, you can hard wire as a direct replacement for a fluorescent lamp or link them together.
