serviceplumberman, Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't know about a rough-in sheet. I did check online the specifications sheet for the sink and it didn't give the information I need. I have contacted Blanco to ask about the rough-in sheet. For anyone else out there who might like to take a stab at this question here are some measurements. Sink base cabinet a standard 34" height. Current waste drain stub 16'' from the finished slab floor. (10'' from floor of cabinet and the floor of the cabinet is another 6'' from the finished slab floor). Sink in question is Blanco Silgranit Diamond 1 and 3/4 undermount. Deeper side is 9 1/2'' and shallower side is 8'' deep. My worry is whether I would have to lower the waste drain which I think is a big job in order for the deeper depth side of the sink to drain properly. I hate to buy the sink and have it installed under the granite countertop only to realize that the waste drain needs to be lowered. I'm trying to think through the realities before buying any product. Thanks for any and all advice!

Thanks everyone! Are you talking about the floor of the cabinet or the actual floor of the kitchen in your measurements? tracyac and angier - would you please clarify? I greatly appreciate you taking the measurements. The center of our waste drain is 10" from the floor of the sink base cabinet and the floor of the cabinet is another 6" from the slab floor. So . . . . , I don't think the super single is going to work unless I lower the waste drain at least 4 or more inches and I understand that is a big job. Our sink cabinet is along a pony wall that also has the DW. We are in a great room design and the kitchen is open to the living and dining room. I think the piping would be fairly easy to get to from the dining room side of the pony wall, but I don't know if the waste pipe travels somewhere else before it goes below our slab. If it were a straight drop from where the stub comes out of the cabinet perhaps the job wouldn't be too bad. Hum m m m ? Thanks again for the help! jB1176

Weird - I can't find dd70 or dlosapio via the search. I agree with Neesie about matching the sink to your granite, rather than your appliances or even your cabinets. I was thinking a white sink because we have white cabinets, then realized that I don't want the sink to look like an extension of the cabinets (a great chasm) but rather a natural flow from the granite. Our granite is going in as we speak! Once the sink is in (not sure if they actually put in the sink) I'll post photos for you to see the biscuit.

Blancoamerica.com (the manufacturer of Silgranit)has all the technical info on maintenance. I've had mine for over three years, and it only gets the occasional swipe with a soapy dishcloth and rinse with the sprayer. No scrubbing necessary. I think I used Bar Keepers Friend once when I thought I saw a slight discoloration from coffee grounds that had been sitting too long. They are truly low maintenance. -Babka
