Should I re-think my floor in the white-white-white-cream bath?
Comments (3)No, I would not switch out the flooring. The AO tile is not cream, it's a warm white. The difference may be subtle but an offwhite/white color scheme is beautiful if planned from the beginning and is rather difficult to do well and not look like you got a bargain on mix and match fixtures and tile. Go the distance with your original plans and it will all be fine. If anything I might consider going with a different color than ultra-white on the walls. Maybe a soft grey or sage green or aqua or something....See MorePictures of Super White Granite and White/Cream Cabinets?
Comments (5)I love Super White too. I have a sample somewhere in the basement. sparklekitty put Super White on her white island. In progress: http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/kitchbath/msg062209107419.html Another in progress post: http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/kitchbath/msg1211561831757.html However, not that she put it only on her island and not on her perimeters where she would have had to deal with white uppers and find a backsplash to harmonize. At that point, I think you might have a problem with the kitchen seeming kind of cold, or the white seeming too stark... maybe. That is just my humble opinion tho, maybe you will think it is beautiful!...See MoreAll Cream/White Bedroom Question
Comments (10)My lovely internet connection dropped and I lost what I was typing. Ugh. I know there will be a lot of people who will tell you that monochromatic is boring and you need a "pop" of color. I think if you want to have the serene room that you are thinking about you should not add a chair in another color. I think it will pull your eye straight to the chair. That is not what you want. When I was changing out my pillows in my family room (where I have a white couch, white rug) I was trying out fuscia pillows, and also pillows with lime green in them. I have lime green accents throughout my home. But what I found was those two options were too eye grabbing. It wasn't serene. They just didn't look like they belonged. Here are some not-so-great photos. Don't mind the crazy placement of the couch, a hole in the ceiling was being repaired. I had to do a lot of eye squinting imagining the couch back together. I ended up going with cream and gray pillows in various textures. Even though some people will call it boring..zzzzz....I like that it is more serene to the eye. And I am sure in a bedroom that is what you are looking for too. These are the audition pictures: This is how the final look came out:...See MoreNeed photos of cream/off-white inset timeless kitchens
Comments (35)[moan] oooooooooooooOOOOOooo I cannot wait until I can afford to retrofit the cabinets I have to inset doors and drawers. I absolutely love the look and feel. I now know why for 6 years I couldn't pick a cabinet door. Nothing spoke to me. So I started to settle. That EVIL "s" word. But I have plans. Always plans. Not necessarily white for me, but all these cabinets are SO beautiful! :) Thanks for the dream material Christine...See Moreriley605
