How on earth do you put knobs on these doors?

I was playing around with some pulls tonight and realized that I have no idea how knobs or pulls could be put on this upper corner cabinet. I don't know the name for it, but it is shown here:

It has two doors that operate independently and meet at a 90 degree angle. One door brushes just past the other as it opens, so there is no clearance for a knob or pull.

I will ask the installer tomorrow but for right now, it is driving me crazy.

Maybe put them in the bottom center of each door? Hmm, interesting. Maybe you could even get a couple of fun and funky knobs in the same finish as the rest of your knobs (or bar pulls in place of knobs) so the different placement position looks more intentional?

that seems sort of disfunctional to me..

if its a corner cabinet you could have two doors that are connected and only hinged on one end.. so you just need one pull.. and can get easy access to the entire cabinet..

Wait as long as you can before 30 days IMO. Paint is not the same as it used to be. With these super low VOC paints...it takes that long to fully cure. With that said, I just recently did some repainting and after 2 weeks, did I put the switch/outlet coverplates on, etc

The false fronts under cooktops and sinks probably are better functionally without because they tend to catch things (thanks, texaskitchentoo for a great example) We put knobs on two false fronts: Our pantry has two doors that are made of two separate panels, but joined so it functions as a single door. I put knobs on both panels for purely aesthetic reasons, but have found myself using the "dummy" knob to open the door as often as the "real" knob since either can be used to open the door The other "dummy knob" was on a upper corner cabinet: again two panels designed to work together. Again I did it for the look, but no worries about catching on in due to location.

I can see why this is bothering you! I think you will need to change this arrangement as it will never be functional. If you can't do what favabean suggests, could you change the hinge side on one of the cabinets?

favabeans, thanks for the photo. that is how my lower corner cabinet opens and I bet that is how my upper was supposed to have been done. They'll just need attach those doors together like the lower ones.

Annes_arbor, I might be able to change the hinge side but I think I'd still have knob interference when fully opened.
