I contemplated getting that range but opted for the Bosch all SS instead. I saw it in person and think it would go well white appliance (and SS too). I do think a SS hood would look smashing with that range and break up all the white appliances you plan on getting.

DW and I are very interested in this range for our kitchen. We expect to go with the black/stainless though. The white/stainless combo seemed a little odd color for us with our medium brown (expected) cabinet color. I rather like the idea though with your white DW and fridge.

What do you mean by stainless steel accents on them though? With your white cabinets I think the white/stainless range could look very nice and be a nice bridge between your stainless elements and your white ones. We plan to do the same thing with black and stainless (though admittedly this is hardly an original idea). I think a stainless range hood would look the best in your situation though, since except for the back panel everthing at and near the "top" of the cooktop is stainless. Hmmm...I guess that would apply to us too. I hadn't thought about that yet...

I have the Bosch Integra slide-in in Titanium, and absolutley love the looks of this range. The stainless and white looks so refreshing to me after the last decade of stainless with black trim.

I have white cabs, Cararra marble counters and dark cork floors. My DW is a Kitchen Aid in stainless and my fridge is a stainless LG. Even though the range and the cabs are different whites, I think it looks fine because the stainless around the oven door acts as a barrier from allowing the two different whites to "touch".

I would have preferred a white fridge and love the looks of the white floating glass by Jenn-Air - it would look fabulous with that range! However, I stayed away from JA because of their horrible reputation for customer service (their refrigerator itself is a rebadged Amana, which I have been very pleased with in the past). Bosch makes a side by side in Titanium, but it has gotten horrible reviews.

The other white and stainless fridge option is an LG full-depth french door. LG doesn't offer this color in a counter-depth, or at least didn't when I purchased in August.

I am going with a stainless hood as I think it's a nice pairing with the range, and help make the range area distinct in the sea of white. I am also going with a white microwave but haven't decided whether to put up a stainless trim kit to mimic the range's colors, or to go with a white trim kit to help it visually disappear.

I love this range and am so exited for you. I can't wait to see your kitchen!

jim- about accents, i just meant that there would be other ss elements in the kitchen (sink, cab pulls) so the ss on the range wouldn't seem out of place.i think black would be great with the cabinets you're planning. esp. if you get granite with some black in it. the white could work if you had a light counter, though.

when talking to the salesman yesterday, he thought i might do better with the all-white. now, i'm not looking to him for decorating advice, but was very pleased to see he wasn't just trying to sell me the most expensive option -- the bosch could be up to double the price of ge or figidaire (according to model)

what brand is your cork? i'm considering it, but the ones i've seen have so much coating for maintenance/durability that they somehow look fake to me, i.e. i'd have guessed they were cork-look laminate!

glad, I'm sorry to say I have no pictures. The camera is still packed from the move and I don't know how to post pix anyway. We are not finished yet - still no sink! - and I will post pix when we are done. Hopefully that'll be soon.

I have to say the Carerra is beautiful, even if the counters are 1/2" too low! I was digging my counters until someone came in and said it looked like a mausoleum! Ha! What do they know?

My cork is the Wicanders 100 series in Chestnut. And like you, I thought it looked fakey when I saw the sample. For some reason it didn't look that way to me once it was installed. However, I must say the sheen on it took some getting used to. It is more of a matte finish. Not completely matte, but much less shiney than the wood floor it is next to.

I do love this floor, though. It is never cold, feels wonderful underfoot and is kind to my back. I get loads of compliments on it. Finding the right color was a bit tricky in our case, but if you can find the right color you will not regret going with cork.

thx, nicole! being somewhat klutzy, and having a bird who thinks his ceramic dishes are hockey pucks, i've been hoping to find a mroe resilient alternative to tile. the first store i went to has the wicanders 100 - i think it is the personality series; the colors i remember are chestnut, spice and caramel. another store near me carries naturaal cork. i guess the good think about the cork planks is that, if i don't end up liking it - or it doesn't hold up well - it is not that hard to take up and do tile.

Yes, we're enjoying the range very much. It cooks great and the burners heat up quickly. Of course, like anything new, it takes some time getting used to the operation, but not difficult.

As I mentioned in previous posts, the range has a fan that comes on when you turn on the oven, but it's not irritating, IMO - not loud where you have to adjust voice and/or TV volumns. Also, I will say the oven does stay hot for quite a while even after it's turned off (like 2+ hours) which I found surprising.

The SS Bosch is what worked best with our new kitchen's materials and colors, but I think with a light kitchen and other white appliances, the Titanium will look gorgeous. I especially think a SS hood will compliment this range and "show-off" the SS on the range better too. Can't wait to see Nigel-Bigel's kitchen and your own with this beauty of a range.

thx, debi! sounds like you have electric? mine would be gas, but the look is the same (exc for the burners) the floor model in the store was electric, but they had the ss one in gas, so i was sort of able to picture a gas white one. :)

debi, I am curious about your hot oven. When you say the oven stays hot for a long time, is the cooling fan on for that whole time?

I was originally delivered an electric Bosch range instead of my dual fuel. Sears told me to go ahead and use it until my DF arrived. That range was very worrisome as it was super noisy and the cooling fan ran for an hour and twenty minutes after the oven was turned off! I suspected I was sent a defective range that someone else had returned (it was missing the broiling pan, users maual and interior oven packing materials as well).

I was very worried that when the correct range was delivered it would have that cooling fan running for ever. I am happy to report that on my new range is much quieter and the cooling fan shuts off immediatley upon turning my oven off - even after the oven had been on for two hours. Should I expect it to stay on longer the more I use this range? I've only had it about a week.

Any pictures of your beautiful SS Bosch range? It seems there are none out there in cyberland...

Glad, we have the electric, slide-in Bosch range.
Nigel, the fan goes off immediately when I turn the oven off, and the inside stays hot for a LONG time - longer than I think it should. Two hours later, it's warm enough to heat something up inside, like pizza. Did you notice if your electric temporary unit stayed hot inside for hours too?

I'm not sure if you are asking to see a pic of our electric SS range or perhaps you think ours is gas? Just checking.

nicole - i missed that you said you had the chestnut wicanders. that was my favorite at the store!not sure, but i may need to go a tad lighter and golder to blend with my wood floors and counters (probably gold granite).I'm getting ahead of myself here, though! ::waving:: I have it! Me, me, mememe! I have the freestanding gas version of this range, and I love it!

I have a white Advantium OTR vent/hood, a white Amana FD fridge, and a white DW. We have white IKEA cabinets, and the white appliances worked well for us. I loved the Titanium for it's versatility (white or SS), and also because many SS stoves have a lot of black, which I felt clashed with the white cottage-y look I was going for.

I was thinking - if I go with the Bosch - I might do the ss hood as people are suggesting. But i looked at (pictures of) the Broan I'll probably get and it has some black trim smack dab in the middle where the controls are, so not thrilled about that. Good to know the white works, too.

Glad, I do have some pictures, and I can probably post them this evening or tomorrow. I'm at work, and when I use bandwith for TKO stuff, the IT department gets VERY cranky ;-) (I don't understand why they don't see the importance of this stuff, but I've worn my vocal cords down to threads trying to explain, and they still think a kitchen should be a hot plate and microwave, and does not deserve photos. Ha!)

well, two months later, it is finally time to go appliance shopping (well, within a week). the old link doesn't work, so here's a new one to the stove.
i'm still not confident whether match-matchy me will be okay putting this range with all-white (whirlpool) fridge and dishwasher.any more thoughts? pictures?

(p.s- on the floor discussion, while i do like the wicanders chestnut cork, for a couple of reasons related to installation and maintenance, i'm going with tile.)

Glad, when I saw this thread pop up, I remembered I was supposed to post photos of my range, but never did. Forgive me, please! I will take some tonight and tomorrow morning and post them for you. I put mine with a white OTR micro/hood and a white fridge. (The DW is on the other side of the room.)

oh, emmie, that would be great since you did all white.no pressure though, seriously!!! i know this is an esp. crazy time of year. if i don't go tomorrow, probably won't go til wednesday or thursday. prefer to pick granite 1st, feeling that will help me choose between the white vs. ss/white. but most granite places are closing down after tomorrow til new year, so it is proving challenging....

glad, we really are on the same schedule, I just put in an order for the range today ... and I'm getting Bosch too! Mine will be the regular ss/black. I think your titanium with ss hood would look great in all white kitchen, give it just the right spark and break the white without beeing too aggresive. There are several pictures on the finished kitchen blog that show ss appliances, I don't if any has titanium though. Happy holidays and good luck granite shopping ;)

love the kitchen you posted. i think the white kitchens with black or grey in the granite look great with ss; i'm trying to go gold (or possible green), though, and minimize the black (to flow better with my living room and dining room). and that's where i'm having trouble figuring out how much ss is too much. it's probably going to come down to a gut reaction when i go to the store; hopefully they still have a white bosch on the floor

glad, oh i wish i can help you with granite but i'm getting "volcanic ash" by livingstone for countertops (it's a solid surface, corian-like). it was a love at the first sight! :) trust your gut, i was never sorry when i did ... and bring your cabinet samples along and take pictures for us ;)

emmie - you were too sweet to do this -- esp. in the midst of chrsitmas prep. i think yours looks great. you have the dark granite and cabinet hardware tieing into it well, too.even the tile grout! i am not sure it will fit as well with my colors, but it does blend well with the white microwave and refrigerator. and it really helps me visualize. (i'm getting shaker-style cabinets also)
