Has anyone seen Kohler's ORB?

I'm trying to get my prep faucet ordered, the small size of Kohler's Vinnata:

That photo is the 'vibrant brazen bronze', but I'm leaning towards ORB, a new color for Kohler.

Since it's new, it isn't shown on this faucet on the website. The 'swatch' pic shows a pretty typical ORB-- a dark brownish black with coppery accents on the 'wear' zones.

But the pic of an ORB soap dispenser is plain ol' black, which would be a heartbreaker for me:

I'm hoping someone has or has at least seen Kohler's version of this color... Help?

Here is the pic of it! I have also seen in person at a local kitchen/bath store. It does look very blackish to me!

"Second of all, "inbred, nanny state mentality," really antss, not a slam? " Didn't say that wasn't a dig - only that my previous post was not , and when the gloves come off - watch out. 2nd. WS is not Motown and since they are still a privately held co. they are much more nimble and able to act quicker. Their cross town manuf. brethren SubZero is also pretty lean and not afraid to thumb theiur nose at the nanny state. They up and moved part of their ops to Arizona when part of the co. didn't want to give in to lowering costs. 3rd. Kohler has been making quality products from the get go and doesn't really have the issues the Big three do/did. 4th - TOTO - made in Georgia, USA - well a lot of the models they sell domestically anyway. Not exactly a hotbed of kaizen manufacturing. Lastly - this was not meant to be a debate about foreign vs. domestic goods or a political statement . I was simply responding to fori's notion that this might just be smoke and mirrors like many of the auto show cars that have lots of sizzle but don't make it out of Reniassance Center or World Center because the suits are short sighted and only want to sell models that sell bazillion copies and have the same undercarriages as every other car they sell.

I don't have an answer to your question, but I'd love to take a slight highjack. I've had a Delta Touch2O since just after they came out. I love it. But now we're remodeling and want something nicer. We were also leaning away from a touch or motion system since it does tend to confuse guests. I read about Tapmaster when I first started thinking about the kitchen reno and had forgotten about it. It seems like that could be the solution for my situation, now that I know you can make it 'normal' for guests as well. I assume it's easy to do so. If I get a normal faucet, do I have to do Tapmaster at the time of install, or is it just as easily added later? And am I understanding correctly that some can be locked on and some can't? If so, is there a feature name or a particular model to point me towards?

Although it has not yet been installed, we decided to use this exact Hansgrohe in our current remodel. We loved the look and the price point, and our architect and contracter both agreed that Hansgrohe made fantastic, quality faucets. Our plumber had nothing but good things to say about the brand, as well. We also considered this Kohler, but felt that the build quality was not on par with the Hans, and that the Hans had a uniqueness to it that suited our tastes well. Good luck!

Wow: I think it's even worse than I expected! I wonder why the pic you found doesn't come up on the page for that faucet...

Thanks for tracking that down.

I think I'm going to have to find a different faucet for that spot, something smallish, traditional, pull-down, single hole...

The sink is Silgranit 'cafe', granite is j. cappella.

[Stock Photo]Though there are some black veins in the slab, I think that faucet would almost fight with the sink and the mica pendants with brownish downrods.

The Danze new ORB is very yummy chocolate - probably my ultimate fave. Not sure if they have a pull down in the bar sink size though... I'm posting the link where I ordered my bath fixtures - best price and super customer service!! Also - a much cheaper option is the Tuscan bronze of the Price Pfister.

But yeah, I've had it round and round with ORB - they are NOT all created equal. Many of the company's ORB is very blackish or pewtery - not bronze.

Oru, I just got my Kohler prep faucet in Vibrant Brazen Bronze, and in person, to me, it looks a lot like the ORB of other manufacturers. I'll snap a photo for you tonight.

I have several Danze faucets and I love them! Very nice quality and the finish stays beautiful!

I have the Kohler Vinnata in ORB as well as the soap dispenser. They both are dark (not black) with the coppery accents. it works well for my sink & granite. The pic below is not the best, but hopefully you can see it.

Jnjmom It is from Coppersinksonline.com. It is the larger size in Dark Smoke. I love it!!! It is easy, easy to keep clean. One of my favorite things about my kitchen!!
