48'' Culinarian Hood Liner - Install Location

We'd appreciate advice on how to locate our hood liner.

Cooktop is 48'' Capital Culinarian, bumped out from wall. From the wall to the front of the cooking surface is 33'', knobs are at 38''.

Hood liner is a Prestige UIB52-1200. Exterior liner dimensions are 52'' x 18''.

Goal is to build a wooden frame, with tiled interior, surrounding the hood liner. The space between upper cabinets is 66''.

Here are our questions:

1) How large should we make the capture area?

2) How far out from the back wall should the front of the capture area be?

3) Where should the liner be, with respect to the capture area?

4) Are height requirements taken from top of cooking surface or from range top surface?

5) At what height is the bottom of the capture area, from the cooktop?

We're also not sure about height requirements. Install calls for 30'' to combustible material. Is this the wooden frame surrounding the liner or the actual hood liner?

DH is 6' and I am 5'3''.

This is a shot of something DH put up temporarily to spatially simulate the front edge of the capture area. Ignore the four legs -- these would not be there.
