I too loved the look of bell jar pendants. Saw them in mairin's kitchen from Pottery Barn, but when they arrived I found they hung too low. (She has higher ceilings.) Loved redroze's but I couldn't afford those. I found mine at Bellacor. They are the right size and the right price. (I think they were approx. $200 each.) Mine have seeded glass (not my first choice but now that I have them I love how they look sparkley.) And mine are brushed nickle which matches my stainless appliances very well. There is such a wide difference in pricing. I just couldn't bring myself to spend $800 for one fixture! Your island is about the same size as my peninsula so 2 jars sounds right to me.

I love bell jar pendants - I think they are so classic and modern at the same time. I love yours KA! I think seeded glass could be a nice option to consider - in addition to being sparkly I think they could be easier to keep looking clean. My plain glass lanterns showed every piece of dust, (and seriously I am not one to notice that sort of thing - it was bad). I ended up replacing the glass panels with a seeded, antiqued glass and now notice (and enjoy) the fixture and don't see all "stuff" in there - just something to consider -

I love the bell jar pendants used by Jean Stoffer in the Textural Tudor Kitchen. I believe they are Crystorama bell jar pendants. If you google that it should come up. Good luck.
p.s: I am using the Crystorama La Vella pendants in my kitchen!

I have bell jar pendants in the "sandwich" area of our kitchen and the corner of the billiard room (it was going to be in the mudroom but they are HUGE and hung too low - the length on overstock was incorrect) I bought mine from overstock - they have a few different ones but they sell out quickly ($150 - $180 range). I had to wait a few weeks until they restocked. Some look like the ones at Pottery barn. The clear glass does show dust easily. Here's a link to mine

Once again GW has come through for me!! I searched the web for bell jar pendants and never saw the ones you guys posted! Or for the prices you found! I also appreciate all of your comments about the dust in clear glass. I probably would have chosen clear- but now I'll go with the ribbed or seeded.
bostonpam- just what I'm looking for- I like that little glass bulb at the end. And love the price! KA: love the seeded glass look. Bellacor and Crystorma have some cool ones. Thanks!
