We are building a new construction home with an open floor plan. The kitchen looks at a great room with cathedral ceiling. I want the great room to be done with browns and blue color scheme. The kitchen and the great room have hardwood floors. The kitchen is going to have white cabinets in the perimeter and espresso cabinets for the island. The perimeter counter tops re going to be absolute black granite and the island is the one I am finding hard to choose. I like the Kashmir white or bianco antico/bianco romano( the granite yard called it as white star)granite. I forget if it is the rmoano or antico.It feels like both are in the grey family with some black and beige spots. My question is if browns and blues will look nice in the family room with the gray family. What color should I use for the walls to tie them together? Should I go for a beige/gold granite to tie with the browns or blues. I bought a family room rug with an off white or light blue pattern already. Thanks for your help!
