Old sink, new faucet???

Dear all,

I bought a vintage sink with double drainboards that attaches to the wall with bolts while the front of the sink stands on two legs. The faucet holes are 8 inches apart, and I have been able to find several faucet options that would fit the holes. However, I would need a wall mounted faucet as the holes are located on the backsplash of the sink even though it would not be mounted on the wall, but rather the sink. Is this making any sense? So, here's my question, how does one secure the back of the faucet onto the sink? I looked at Home Depot for a some sort of bolt, but could not find the proper size. Thanks for any help you could offer.
